Projec10: Custom AI Tactics & Formations [FIFA 17]

I want to again applaud all of those involved with this project.

With that said, I've had to amend a lot of these values, particularly the teams with extremely low values for passing. As an example: Arsenal. I completely get the idea behind the 1 value for speed and passing, to get them to use possession based game. The problem is that it is just too extreme. They are so safe and quick with their passing that they literally never organically pose a threat to my defense. Sure, I made some aggressive moves to intercept a pass and they had a lane at goal, but not once did that short quick passing result in any dangerous opportunities for the AI.

Again, I love the idea and theory, but for me I've had to play with a few of these values to still get some threat and variety out of the computer. Sure Arsenal play short, tidy passes, but you'll also see Ozil send a ball over the top to a runner or Sanchez take on a FB to get a cross in. In 90 minutes vs my Red Devils, it was all short pass pass pass, with zero threat on goal.

Just my .02, I don't say this to "blow things up" or troll or anything, just reporting what I've seen. On the plus side, they had 7 fouls with their current pressure/aggression setting

Keep up the good work guys, this has certainly improved the game for me!

I have had the opposite when I have played Arsenal. I have had them tear me apart. I could not stop Ozil and Sanchez. I found that they we able to dissect me through their short passing and had tons of scoring opportunities.

How have you amended the values? What values and formations have you used to make them play like the true Arsenal?

Once you've started a new career mode after having made some sheets for other teams, will you always have to use these same sheets? or can you make some adjustments throughout the season if you have selected 'custom squads'? (without having another controller on the side by the way)

As long as you have a second controller you can edit your opponent's tactics before the match starts.

Correct. Without a second controller, you must input all custom tactics, formations, etc. before starting a career. I keep holding out hope they'll address it year after year. Perhaps FIFA 18 will be when team identity actually becomes a thing touted by EA.
