Weeble Wobble and the CPU doesn't fall down?

Ok...just like the title says...for some reason, no matter what team I use, I can't seem to check the CPU. I'm using LORDOFTHE's slider set. The hit diff is maxed and hit power 0. Every time I check the CPU, MY GUY falls down!

I guess I'm confused by what the hit diff slider really does....if it's maxed does it mean I can HIT the CPU, but they just won't be affected by the check?? It looks like my guys are running into walls. I have good clean running hits, and my player caves like a paper doll, but the CPU just keeps skating.

    Any thoughts?

Hit difficulty sliders means in my oppinion, how clean the hit must be,angle and speed all so........

Let's say im on defence and opponent comes over the blue line....i skate up toward him and press LT to "lock" on to the puck carrier then i press up on right stick and my guy is like a homing missile automaticly moving to hit the puck carrier...i don't need to use left stick to move my player......Perhaps this effect is disabled when HIT DIFFICULTY is on full.

BTW more player ACC means your guy reaches top speed faster thus making hits more powerfull. If your ACC is say 2 clicks from left you need lot's of space to get on to full speed and make a big hit.......ACC on 6 you can knock a guy down in front of your own net with out much trouble.

i have speed at 1 - player acceleration at 2.

hit difficulty is maxed and hit power at 0 - and i LOVE how it plays. EA removed the "hit fest" and it's now more about 1) player attribute and 2) positioning. IMO, these settings play perfectly...

I totally agree with you harsh. If you have the right positioning, and the right guy going for the hit it works really well with the settings you're using. Lie you said, no more hit-fest. The guys that should lay the big hits are doing so, yet guys who are basically hitting like mosquitoes are doing so.
