On a rush into the zone, the lead player with the puck will kinda flick the puck back, sometimes through their legs, for the trailing player on the rush.
"Drop Pass
The drop pass can be a great way of setting up a good scoring opportunity when entering the attack zone, especially on 3 on 2 rushes. To leave the puck behind the puck carrier for a teammate behind you, hold down L2/LT and tap R1/RB."
This is taken from here. Some excellent tips in there. Worth a read.
I think there are a few ways to do it. You can use RT+LS behind you. You can also let go of LS and tap RB. The one I use is LT+RB.
The only problem is I sometimes drop pass when I try to skate backwards and poke check. If the puck suddenly comes under my possession I drop pass if I don't react quick enough to let go of LT+RB. I wish it wasn't mapped to that button combination since there are already two other ways to do it.
