NHL 18 has all-new offensive deke moves, including one-handed moves, between-the-legs dekes, back-handed toe-drags, heel drags,...

Really hoping there's equal attention being paid to the AI and goalies. I don't know that scoring has ever been a problem, but the AI and goalies have been a source of frustration for years.

I'm hoping this year marks a year where the highlight goal mentality isn't the most dominant thing, and the rest of the game gets a little love too. But, this is the same sentiment I type every year...

My sentiments as well.

The CPU AI and goalies need an overhaul. I could care less about highlight reel goals, one-handed moves, between-the-legs dekes, back-handed toe-drags, heel drags, cheeky puck flips. This all screams arcade hockey to me.

I'm going to hold off on a pre-order and try it first on EA Access. If it's the same as NHL 17 with the added moves and dekes with an updated roster, there is no way in hell I'm spending another $70 of my hard earned money on EA.

At this point I actually dont want this game.

Dont get me wrong, I want my yearly fill of NHL, but I am not sure I want what they are trying to push this year.

I understand the need to have a main focus for a game they release annually with a small dev team. I do think that polishing dekes and releasing last years game with some patches and a new roster is beyond lazy. Maybe NHL 18 is something completely different than what is shown off for us, but I am wondering what miracle they are hiding up their sleeves then?

This list is a far better sales pitch than what EA has come up with as of late

In either case: Wait and see.

Still I get the feeling that this is it.
And: What is up with EA as of late?
No real trailers for your games? C'mon now!

I guess right now maybe in the minority but I can get $24.00 for NHL 17 from Gamestop *and I only play offline so that minus $60.00 it would be $38 and change so I believe it is worth the risk . So I am in at that price
