FYI, there is a rumor going around that a UFC fighter and a top player played an very early version of the new game and that UFC fighter got a couple of wins over the top player....there is going to be an adjustment for all of us.
This got me excited.

Yh I noticed this a while back. Certain strikes seem to come out faster when you use the head movement. I just dash most times. But I feel like that sluggish striking when out of range is something that needs to go in the next game, cuz it ruins the feel of strike speed and gives advantages to guys that run alot. For example if you rock a guy and that little quick walking mechanic or finish the fight doesn't start up, you can't swarm him with strikes cuz if you try you will be throwing these stuck in mud strikes as he walks back rocked. Idk who at EA thought it was a good idea, but when you look at it, fighters are not slow just cuz they are out of range. Their speed will be the same if they are in range or not. I feel like that's more how a tired fighter should throw strikes.

If the rumours are true I can tell you for a fact that fighter wasn't Ronda Rousey

Thing is with these combat sports games...despite the new learning curves and all, I used the same strategies. Whether it was fight night, Undisputed, EA MMA, ect. My same strategies always worked with all of them except EA UFC and it was cuz it wasn't realistic enough. And despite that, I still was able to make a style that worked. So all i'm really hoping is that it's more realistic.

Re: Need more competitiveness for this game

After getting to go toe-to-toe with Haz last night in some awesome fights, I can't wait to see what we can do with this new striking system.

Re: Need more competitiveness for this game

I think it's interesting how two people can have totally different feelings about the exact same fight. I just fought a guy using Gamburyan and he had Tony Ferguson. First minute or so of the fight the guy keeps moving backwards and throwing primarily body kicks. I wasn't having it. I just bulldozed forward the rest of the fight and tried to pick him apart. He ended up catching me, but he messaged me something about being trash because I pressured and body spammed.

First of all, I'd never touch the guy that fight if I didn't apply pressure. Plus, effective pressure is smart in many cases. Secondly, I didn't body spam in the least. He left his body open a lot and I took advantage of it, but there were no machine gun spam combos or any nonsense like that. I varied things up and I was trying to work his head as well.

I just found it funny. I sent him my standard disrespectful message back in response and hit the block. Not in the mood for a back and forth with DatBRazykidd516 lol.

I can vouch that Pappy got hands, and he don't need to resort to no cheese.

I swear I've gotten messages from that name before too. That just looks so familiar. Haha.
