EA UFC 3 - Visual Damage System

This is something I haven't seen talked about yet, but is a aspect of the game, that IMO, could use a lot of tweaking. As it stands in EA UFC 2, it seems to be rather inconsistent.

I have 2 main point's I'd like to bring up.

1)Visual Damage doesn't seem to have any set parameters determining when and what visual damage appears. Or if it does, the system itself just comes off as wildly inconsistent.

Sometimes after 1 exchange, both fighters have black eyes 10 seconds into the fight. Sometimes you go to war for 3 rounds and look fine. Sometimes you can land massive Overhands, and Head Kicks, and nothing, but then eat 2 baby punches on the ground, and get a huge black eye.

2)Not enough range of damage. I feel like guys go from zero to black eye immediately. What about all the areas in between? Or even more severe damage if someone really takes a beating. Hematomas, Closed Eyes, Broken Noses.

Now this depth of Visual Damage only works if point 1 is improved upon though. It can't just be randomly showing up in every fight. It needs to be appropriate.

The aesthetic damage is also subjective to the fighter. Some fighters show, Mike Bisping. Some don't, Anderson Silva. I hope this is something that is implemented. I'll main Pat Cummins if they do.

I agree the damage often feels a little sudden.

I feel like often, Ill take someone down and dominate them with grappling. They land a few baby punches from the bottom, whilst getting severely out grappled. Round ends, I stand up, and somehow I'm the one with 2 savage black eyes?? From ~4 baby punches, from a guy on the bottom?

Just seems weird.

Re: EA UFC 3 - Visual Damage System

I agree I think there is room for improvement on this matter.

I still think it looks good when the fighters turn up at the of the round and you see the work you did you their faces, BUT, as Haz said - not enough sometimes: There could be a fight where you just demolish your opponent and nearly take their head clean off and they are standing there, at the end of the round, with a black eye or a scratch on their nose and you think "wtf" he should be nearly dead after all that *** whooping he just got.

I guess some fighters are not bleeders like some others but still - imo I think some adjustments can make it better.
