Hello All,

I have finally gotten around to releasing the newest version of NFL2K History.

NFL2K_History is a program set that can generate a given season in NFL history so that you can play through it in the NFL2K5 video game.

Here is a list of new features:

• Works with Finn’s new 3.0 editor
• Updates depth charts
• Generates Free Agents
• ‘Joe Nobody’ should not show up unless the team had fewer than 53 players for the given year.
• Updated Jersey numbers (1960-2003 should be VERY accurate).
• Updated Player appearance information.
• Updated Equipment information.
• Extensively updated AttributeMap.csv file (done by AaronDe) [used by default].

Downloaded to Desktop...using Vista 32...when I double click Season file, get msg asking if I want to unzip all files...I said yes...took forever with Vista (30 mins).

When I type in a year it says invalid year...no matter what year I type in. What did I do wrong?

This is strange. It took about a minute to unzip all files on my computer (Windows XP, SATA HDD).

The 'Invalid Year' problem comes from not being able to find the data. It will look for the path "NFL_DATA/[year you typed in]/".

To use the program set, you need to extract the folder 'NFL2K_History_2" (and all of it's subfolders) to somewhere. The programs should be run from where they are in the directory structure that they come in.

The program set was not tested on Vista, but it should work ok with Vista. Please make sure that you are running the program from the correct location and that the 'NFL_Data' directory has the years directories in it and that there is data in the 'years' directories.

Let me know if you are still having trouble after following these steps.

I had to choose to run it as an administrator in Vista, so it works now.

Ugh...I hate Vista. And yes, it took over 30 mins to extract all the files...XP would have done it in less than a minute or two.

One thing...getting Invalid Run Style on all choices (Power, Finesse, etc..)

Could be because I used OpenOffice to edit the season file so I only had one team. I saved, but I think it saved all data with quotes around each field. That is causing the names to be inserted with quotes as well. Could be why the Run Style field is erroring out as well?

Also having some issues with the name selection...for some players it never seems to finish...

Could you post your 'tmpSeasonGen.csv' file for me to look at?

Also, have you checked out UltimateZip (it's free)?

I wonder if it would do a better job of zipping and unzipping archives on Vista.
