2k5 on PS3??

Was this game ade on the PS3 at all, or am i dreaming? I don't own a ps2, and have always wanted to play this game. I've never seen it before for ps3 tho

Nope, it wasn't, first year for football on next gen was Madden 2006.

not really into the madden thing with the same old same old rehashed for years and years.
tell me if you think im correct in that thinking please. i kinda prefer this coz as i understand it theres no other modes in apf.

when did you buy your ps3? if you have a non 60 gb one, you can't play ps2 games. They stopped making PS3 that were PS2 compatible pretty fast, so if you have not already tried, i doubt your PS3 can play PS2 games.

And yes 2K5>Madden

You can pick up a used PS2 for about $50-$75 depending on where you find it. I had to get a PS2 so I could play my NFL 2K5. I have a 40 GB PS3 and it doesn't play PS2 games. I also have the Xbox version of 2K5 which is actually better. I play it on my friends XBox 360. I am thinking of getting a used XBox as soon as I can find one for a good price. I prefer to play the XBox version even though I like the PS3 better. You can probably find a copy of 2K5 for XBox at around 99 cents. I got my copy for the XBox for 78 cents. There was a sale on all used games. LOL! Hope this helps.

if so then the only thing i could do would be to buy a ps2 or an xbox 360 then.

You don't need a new system. 2K5 was for the old Xbox. If you have one, you'll be playing it on the best original system for it anyway.

As for the PS3, how old is your 80 gig? If it's one of the older 80 gb systems (that seemed to get discontinued as soon as it was introduced...lol), it also plays PS2 games...it wasn't just the 60GB one.

Kind of moot for this, as you say you have an old xbox (and the game is better looking overall on that system anyway), but it might be good info for other PS2 games you may want to go back to.

I have an 80 gb and it works fine. It still works with the first generation 80gb systems that came out. If you by chance bought the 80gb Metal Gear bundle, you should be fine. It's still worth buying at gamestop for a $1.
