Re: main differences PS2 vs xbox versions
My point is, I know what you're trying to find out.
It will never happen. Read through the simplest thread on here that even mentions PS2 vs. XBox. Somebody that likes PS2 better says "this is better". Some XBox loyalist takes offense, and says "well this sucks, you're nuts". Then it goes back and forth.
Hell, I got into it myself yesterday, and I like all 3 systems (I even have a 'cube and a PC). It's easy to get sucked in regardless. These threads are never pretty. Good intentions won't help what'll happen. I predict this thread will have 20 posts before it's locked. No to mention, the differences are all out there in black and white. It's almost common sense. The XBox is more powerful, so the graphics are better (how much better is obviously in the eye of the beholder), but it has no online leagues like PS2. Online play itself is up to a user's personal preference.
Just ask yourself: do I care about eye candy and loading times, or do I want stat tracking? If you want eye candy, go X. If you want better online integration, go PS2.Comment

Re: main differences PS2 vs xbox versions
Well it has been discussed to death here in previous threads.
Graphically the Xbox should be better.
Both are online but on PS2 you can setup tournaments.
So you have to ask yourself a few simple questions that only you can answer.
Do you prefer playing sports games on your PS2/Xbox (controller preference)?
Do Graphics matter to you?
Does having the ability to make tournaments sway you?
