In my first season franchise I went to the big show with my cowboys and won. During the season I pretty much kept the same team, I did not trade for any stars or anything. I played on All Pro with no slider changes. My question is when it was time to start the off season, I barely had any money. My cap was 5 million to keep old players, buy free agents, drafts and everything. When you make it to the playoff's, or the SuperBowl don't you receive a big bonus? I know in real life you do. I did not get anything and I only lost like 4 season games. Once again I played all pro 7 min quarters. Does anyone know if this is how its suppose to be? If you play on Legend do you get extra money?

Your salary cap stays the same, whether you go undefeated or lose every game. It's like this in the game and real life.

any real life money earned in the playoffs is bonus money for players and teams. it has no bearing on the sal cap.

So if you don't get any extra incentives what is the point of winning the superbowl? This is the first time I actually finished a season, and you get nothing? I don't even have any other teams trying to trade with me to be on a superbowl winning team. It just seems strange. I pretty much shut down all the playoff teams and won in the superbowl by quite a large margin. I guess I was just expecting something more to it. I really don't see the point on doing another season.

try legend and you wont skate thru the season.

You may have set your franchise difficulty high. Go to the franchise menu and contracts and look at what the other team's cap room look like and who they have on their team. If its loaded with stars and they still have room then you have set your difficulty high. I know I average 7mill less than every other team.

And you don't need to bump your difficulty up because the next season will be harder anyway. You'll see a lot of teams with better ratings than yours all the time.

I try legend difficulty in exhibition games. Sometimes I actually score some points. The rest of the time, it's the CPU only running 1 or 2 plays per series with the last play being a huge TD run or catch. Playing defense against the CPU is the most challenging in any football game I've ever played.
