I have the save file transferred onto my PS3 hard drive now the issue I'm having now is that when I go to copy the NFL2k5 files from my virtual PS2 card the USB will not show up as an option..

That's strange. I have some ps1 saves that I'm able to transfer back and forth.

What are the options? Copy to... Internal Mem card 2, create new card, etc?

Oh wait, just remembered. The USB has to be FAT32 format. I'm guessing it's not, that's why the ps3 can't read it.

You can format it easily on your pc, provided you don't have any important files on there that you don't mind losing

Just create new, I have them copied to the PS3 now, when I go to copy them from internal memory card the only option that comes up is create new internal memory card.

Yeah, format your USB to fat32 and the PS3 will be able to read it. Then you should be able to copy the saves over.

Awesome. Really really appreciate it. I'm sorry things didn't work out on your end tho.

I was able to transfer them over no prob. I can't test them since my ps3 isn't backwards compatible but they should be fine.

If anyone is confused; on your USB make a folder called "PS3" (all caps), inside that make a folder called "EXPORT" (all caps again) then download the files ABR posted and copy the folder "PSV" into the "EXPORT" folder. Then you'll be able to copy them over.
