    Action Replay software

I was curious if anyone knows where i can download the xbox action replay software. I had it, but when i moved from italy it came up missing. The problem is that my computer crashed too and I really dont feel like paying 25-30 dollars for all if it again, when all i need is the software.

    Thanks

Well, I don't have an AR docking station or the AR memory card. What I do have is an XBox controller, a Madcatz memory card, an old USB cable, an extra quick-connect, the AR software, and a nice tutorial.

The result? My XBox controller is now a docking station for my computer, and the quick-connect lets me swap back and forth from XBox to computer, just by changing the ends. I have a home-brewed AR, and it cost me all of $5 for the extra quick-connect.

Well, I got lucky with the Madcatz Memory card I think. Back when I first got my XBox (October of 2002), I was shopping in Target one day. They had these Madcatz Memory Cards on clearance for $4.34! I bought two, but wish that I had bought 4. I never thought I would use them that much.

So, if you want to get technical, I spent more than $5, but it was over a period of 2 years.

                        The price list:

USB cable: Free...cut up an old PC gaming controller...hey...now I can use my XBox controller as a PC gaming controller, which was my original plan. The home-brew AR was a bonus side-effect.

Madcatz Mem Card: $4.34...got lucky I guess. Every time I am in Target, I look in their clearance section for more of these goodies.

Extra Quick-connect: $5...bought for the specific purpose of cutting off the XBox proprietary end and attaching a standard USB cable.

XBox S-Controller: Free...came with gaming system. Hopefully you have one! I have only seen this work with official MS controllers, not 3rd party ones, but YMMV.

AR software: Free dowload from their website.

Electrical Tape: $1 max, used maybe a foot.
