Ridley Carries Pats on his Back

East Rutherford, NJ - Let's just say that Mallett's days are numbered. On a day where they blow out the opposing team, Ryan Mallett still throws 5 picks. That's 11 interceptions on the season in just 4 games. This has to stop, but I don't know how Coach Gerard will handle this mess.

Now on to the good stuff...Stevan Ridley pounds it with over 140 yards and 3 TDs. The Jets defense couldn't stop him as he ran for a few long runs. Even when Ridley came off to rest, Shane Vereen and Brandon Bolden picked up where Stevan left off. I have to say the Patriots ground attack is so versatile now and can gain yards in multiple ways.

Rob Gronkowski picked up his 3rd touchdown catch in the midst of all the balls thrown to the boys in green. Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd was able to handle a good amount of balls too to help them drive down the field.

The biggest glimmer of hope was shown by the Pats D. 5 Sacks and 2 interceptions led by none other than Rookie of the Year, Mr. Chandler Jones himself. Brings his totals up to 4 sacks on the year in 4 games. He is starting right where he left off last year. Antoine Cason also pulled down his league leading 4th interception of the year. If the defense continues to play like that, we might be able to overlook Ryan "INT" Mallett.

Patriots host Denver next week before their bye week. Peyton Manning is coming to town and that will really test this Patriots defense to see if they can go against an elite quarterback. See you in Foxboro!

Ground Work - It was a big day for Stevan Ridley whose 3 TD runs helped the Patriots beat the Jets 31-10.

2013 - Week #4

Two Big Dogs - One Team's magical season will be sidetracked by a loss next week as both the Falcons and Eagles have a lot to lose in a battle of undefeateds.

Devastating Break for Carroll - A gruesome leg injury to FAU WR Aarin Carroll will put hime on the shelf for the season.

Pittsburgh and Cincinnati Rivalry - The undefeated Steelers take on the winless Bengals in a rivalvy game that has traditionally been a back and forth affair next week.

49ers Re-sign RE Justin Smith - The 49ers and Justin Smith have agreed to a 6-year extension that will pay him $60.6M over the life of the deal.

Building Momentum - The Eagles knew how important it was to get off to a hot start, and they've been able to do just that with a 4-0 record.

Colts Showing COnfidence Early On - The Colts are one of the nice surprises in the early part of the season as they've now moved to 4-0.

Confident Bunch - The Bills are off to an undefeated start and are sitting atop the AFC East.

Impact Made - Being appreciated as a top option on your offense is what every receiver wants, and Marques Colston was a top option this week for the Saints.

Who's Next? - It's a special treat just getting to watch Drew Bress every week. He threw for plenty more yards this week and is now 7th on the all-time yardage list.

Mallett found unresponsive
@ Foxboro home

Foxboro, MA - Monday morning after the win against the Jets, New England Patriots QB Ryan Mallett was found unresponsive in his house. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and is in critical condition. No news on hopefullness of recovery.

When interviewed, the policeman on the seen had this to say, "We got the call around 10am from his wife. She stated that when she woke up, Ryan was already up and about. She looked for him throughout the house and couldn't find him. She started to worry. She then looked towards their guest bedroom bathroom to find Mr. Mallett sitting against the shower wall showing no sign of conscienceness. We arrived hear quickly on the scene and was able to see that he was indeed alive. We did notice a small bottle of tiny pills on the bathroom counter near the sink. We do not officially know the cause of why Mr. Mallett had fallen, but we do believe it may be cause by an overdose."

We will continue to follow this story and update you on the seriousness of this horrific situation. At this time Coach Gerard and his team have placed Ryan Mallett in all their prayers. As a viewing audience, we ask you to do the same.

Patriots sign Matt Moore

QB Matt Moore

Foxboro, MA - In a quick move, Patriots front office find quarterback Matt Moore. With the status of Ryan Mallett unknown at this time and with the Patriots playing Denver this week, it was best to have a second quarterback available.

Chad Sapozink, if Mallett doesn't recover before Sunday, is looking to be the Patriots choice at QB with Matt Moore as his backup. Matt will be getting familiar with the complicated offensive scheme while Sapozink will take the first team snaps.
