Re: Never Daunted: An Indiana Hoosiers Dynasty (NCAA 14)
A lot of those choices are good ones for the Big 12. In my Tulane dynasty, the Big 12 invited Cincinnati & Memphis, and managed to lure Louisville from the ACC. The only downside was losing West Virginia to the ACC (who replaced Louisville). It should look good in a year, as the old L'ville-Cincy-Memphis rivalry is back.
They considered BYU, but distance was an issue like WVU. Houston would've been good, but they didn't want another Texas school in the fold apparently.

There's a few that are considered front runners, for sure. Cincy, Louisville, and Memphis would all make for an even more interesting conference. Excited to see who's gonna make the move.

Game Notes
Kansas State has struggled out of the gate this year. The Wildcats are coming off a home win over UTSA, after starting the year with an overtime home loss to Southern Utah. Their stats aren't impressive either, meaning Kansas State will have to turn things around fast if they want to win this one.
Keys to victory
Indiana- Kansas State's defense allows a fair bit of yards per game, and if the Hoosiers can do what they did last week, use a balance of air and ground attack, they should come out on top.
Kansas State- Run the ball. The Wildcats biggest weapon is their run game, and it'll need to carry them today.
Prediction- Indiana 30, K-State 10. Kansas State appears to be having a down year, and this Hoosier team is already feeling confident after a 2-0 start.

K-State gets KO'd
Bloomington- Indiana finished off their non-conference schedule on Saturday night against Kansas State in front of a sellout crowd at Memorial Stadium. IU was victorious when these two teams met last season, and looked to repeat that performance.
Kansas State was able to advance the ball into Hoosier territory on their first drive, but turned the ball over when Drew Moses intercepted K-State QB Jon Johnson’s pass. Indiana took the ball down field and scored with ease, as Michael Keenan found the endzone to put IU up 7-0.
Kansas State would be shut down offensively on their next drive, allowing the Hoosiers to score off of a four-yard run by Keenan, to go up 14-0. Kansas State wouldn’t threaten for the rest of the half, while the Hoosiers added on a Lewis Richardson field goal. The Hoosiers looked to be on their way to scoring again, but were stopped just shy of the goal line as time expired in the first half, and Indiana took a 17-0 lead into the locker room.
IU’s offense would struggle in the third quarter, however, as three Hoosier drives ended in interceptions, leading coach Pate to pull QB Jon Manning for two possessions. The Wildcats finally found the endzone in the fourth quarter, getting on the scoreboard by way of a Mark Atkinson TD catch from 3 yards out. Unfortunately for K-State, their scoring would end there, and a pass from IU’s relief QB Leonard Bell to Tony West would put the game away for good. Hoosiers win, 24-7.
Coach Pate said after the game, “Today was kind of a mixed bag. We made a few mistakes, but we did a lot of things well. We played 3 solid quarters of football, and in the quarter we didn’t do well in, we still kept them off the board. So overall, it was a good game for us.
“Last week I thought our offense really got to shine. Tonight was the defense’s turn. I was really happy with how we were able to slow [Kansas State] down.”
After a stellar first half, IU’s Jon Manning had a third quarter to forget, as he tossed three interceptions, which earned him a seat on the bench. Manning was 22 of 28 on the night, passing for 230 yards and no touchdowns. Michael Keenan found the endzone twice on 17 carries to lead the Hoosier ground attack.
K-State’s Jon Johnson picked up 118 passing yards, completing 16 of 24 passes. He also threw a touchdown and two interceptions.
Indiana now prepares for conference play, as they welcome the Nebraska Cornhuskers to The Rock next week. Nebraska, now ranked 23rd in the country, will be making their first trip to Bloomington’s Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 12:30 PM.
