No worries! Hahah I have never tried to check OS on my phone. We will definitely miss Sherrer but hopefully Welch can carry the load against Ball State. We have one of the top recruits on my board visiting so it is critical we get that W. Sherrer should be back in time for the next game. Fleming should be able to give us a strong goal line back to compliment Welsh in the meantime. Thanks for following!

I'm using the Tapatalk app. Hopefully all goes well with the recruit! I'm enjoying this thread greatly!

Ah very nice. I saw that they had installed that app for the site. Thank you, we really need this defensive tackle who is visiting. We are graduating three DTs in the offseason and will only have two on the roster who are rated at a 55 and 49 ovrl, so DT is one of our key positions I am trying to recruit heavily at. We have been manhandled all season in the trenches on both sides of the ball. I am a firm believer in building from the ball out, so hopefully this will be the first step. The recruit has given us a soft verbal commitment already. Glad you are enjoying the thread! I hope you continue to follow along!

Year 1 (2011), Game 9, Ball State at Eastern Michigan
EMU WR Kinsman Thomas had no trouble finding holes in the Cardinal secondary as he pulled in four catches for 118 yards and two scores.
Bowl Eligible: Eastern Michigan Picks Up their Sixth Win of the Season Against Pesky Cardinals 42-30
Eagles become bowl eligible with sixth win; Will likely need at least 7-8 wins though to get bowl bid | Ball State QB Keith Wenning goes down with broken collarbone, most likely done for the season | Iannotti throws four touchdowns to help keep Ball State winless.
AP Ypsilanti – The Eastern Michigan Eagles got their sixth win of the season as they downed the Ball State Cardinals 42-30 in a cold afternoon contest. While the win will make Eastern Michigan bowl eligible, the team realizes it will most likely need at least seven or eight wins in order to garner a bowl invite. The winless Cardinals put up more of a fight than many expected as they jumped out to an early first half lead thanks to the arm of QB Keith Wenning. Wenning would go down in the second half with a broken collarbone that will most likely sideline him for the rest of the season. QB Kelly Page is expected to take over the starting role for Ball State.
Eagles tight end Garrett Hoskins had a solid afternoon catching two touchdowns in the game.
For Eastern Michigan, the storyline of the game was their tenacious pass rush lead by seniors DT Brandon Slater and DE Brad Ohrman. Both players recorded three sacks in the game. Ohrman now has a team leading ten sacks on the season. The performance was watched closely by one spectator in particular. Three star high school prospect DT Tremayne Smith was in attendance at the game as he took an official visit with the university. Smith, who is rated as the 23rd best defensive tackle in the nation, is currently rumored to be near the top of the Eagles' recruiting board. Eastern Michigan will graduate three defensive tackles including both of their starters at the end of season.
Freshman signal caller QB Mark Iannotti had his best game to date as he took home player of the game honors. Iannotti threw for 242 yards and four scores in the win. Redshirt sophomore HB Joe Fleming, who saw significant playing time due to the injury to HB Dominique Sherrer, had a solid performance running for 88 yards and a touchdown. Sherrer is listed as probable for the team's week eleven matchup with Buffalo.
"No matter what their record says, Ball State came to play today. They had us on the ropes there for most of the first half and nearly rallied back in the fourth quarter. They played a good game." -- Eagles Head Coach Dan Clayton
Eastern Michigan (6-3) will be at home again next week as they prepare to square off against Buffalo (5-4). Buffalo has surprised many this season putting together a record much better than many predicted for them. They are lead by sophomore dual threat QB Alex Zordich (1529 yds, 14 TD, 18 INT, 707 rushings yds, 5 rushing TD). If the Eagles hope to get their seventh win of the season, they will have to stop Zordich. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 PM EST.
