Since I've come up now to the week of The Game, there should be more storylines to follow. Hope y'all are ready!

That's a good question.

I was honestly very disappointed in the fact that OSU isn't the last game. I was looking at the custom schedule (I imported a Teambuilder version of Michigan to get the Jordan uniforms) and sadly I saw the Buckeyes in the early second half of the season. To add insult to injury the game won't allow me to change it. I also couldn't edit it in the editor because of Teambuilder.

It totally ruins the realism and excitement. But it is what it is, so I'm not going to act like this is just another game. Thanks for following along!

Game Week Interview: Coach Tyler Johns

Columbus, OH - Michigan head coach Tyler Johns has been a hot commodity for interviews this college football season, and today ESPN was able to get an interview with whom everyone calls "Poppa Johns." Sources say the interview was a bit "off-the-hinges".

Here is the rundown, in skit form:

*Coach Johns sits in chair. "Anonymous" ESPN interviewer sits down in his own chair.*

*lights, camera, action*

ESPN: "Welcome everyone, I am here today with Michigan's head coach, Tyler Johns. Please, make yourself comfortable."

TJ: "This chair's pretty nice."

ESPN: I am going to start this off by saying that you are one of the biggest names in coaching and it's only your first year at a big-time program. What do you think of your newfound 'fame'?"

TJ: "Well, I could go out of my own way and say it's well-deserved, but that'd be unfair to others that really deserve the headlines I've been making. Michigan is a blueblood program. Of course it's going to be highly publicized. I like the praise, don't get me wrong, it's just that there are some very underrated people who's doing a great job at their schools and they stay under the radar."

ESPN: "This is your first time coaching in The Game. Do you have any history with both of the schools?"

TJ: "My parents are huge Michigan fans, so I did watch a lot of the games. Growing up in California, I didn't watch The Game much because I'd be tuned into the local games like Stanford and Oregon and such. As for Ohio State, I've always had respect for them. I don't have any beef with 'em."

ESPN: "That's weird, because last time I checked, you tweeted out, and I quote, "When cometh November, remember you heard, that Michigan ascendeth, and Ohio eats turds." What do you-

*Coach Johns shakes his head, then flashes a smile to the camera*

TJ: "That's just some poetic sh*t I was tweeting at the time."

ESPN: "You know you just cursed on live TV, right? Language."

TJ: "Yeah. And?"

*ESPN reporter shakes his head in disgust*

ESPN: "Moving on. Their head coach, Urban Meyer, is not a big fan of yours, taking subliminal shots every time we mentioned your name-"

TJ: "I know you're trying to bait me into saying something, but I'm not surprised. He's a man of the other side of this rivalry. What do you expect?"

ESPN: "Jake Rudock's been having a good season. However, some here at ESPN think he's extremely inconsistent. Do you agree with our stance?"

TJ: "Well, Jake's been through his ups and downs. You're right there. But extremely is not a good way to put it. I think it's an overstatement."

ESPN: "One last question. Do you see your team coming into Columbus and beating the doors off of the Buckeyes?"

*Coach Johns smiles and the ESPN reporter, then goes back to his normal face*

TJ: "I'll have to go with the wait-and-see on this one. Nothing's guaranteed."

ESPN: "Alright, there we have it, folks. Good luck tomorrow, Coach."

*Coach Johns walks out of the room*

ESPN: "What a nut."

Still Dominant
#4 Buckeyes hold off #8 Michigan, 30-23, by way of a late pick-6

Columbus, OH - Faced against a uber-talented roster full of athletic freaks and a raucous Buckeye crowd, the 8th-ranked Michigan Wolverines lost their second game of the season, this time against their bitter rivals. Rushing for a monstrous 309 yards, Ohio State ran their way into their fourth straight win against Michigan, continuing their recent dominance of The Game.

Michigan fans know the drill. Historically, the Wolverines have struggled against elite spread offenses. Donovan McNabb (21/27, 233 yds, 2 TD; 19 carries, 60 yards, TD) in 1998. Vince Young (16/28, 180 yards, TD, INT; 21 carries, 192 yards, 4 TD) in the 2005 Rose Bowl. And now Ohio State's J.T. Barrett (21/25, 129 yards, TD, INT; 17 carries, 146 yards, TD) in the 2015 edition of The Game.

The Bucknuts started off the game hot as superstar Ezekiel Elliott ran through wide-open holes and shed weak Wolverine tackles. Ohio State occasionally couldn't convert their redzone tries into touchdowns, as Jack Willoughby kicked three field goals, one being a long 53-yarder. His two field goals in the first gave the Buckeyes a 6-0 lead into the second quarter.

Michigan came in with a much less talented roster yet managed to stick in it. The Wolverines got on the board when Jake Rudock ran through Vonn Bell en route to an 11-yard score to put Michigan up 7-6. The Buckeyes would score twice on an FG and an Ezekiel Elliott receiving TD.

Unfortunately, the rushing touchdown was Jake's lone bright spot in a horrible showing. Rudock finished 17/31, threw for 202 yards, a touchdown, and three untimely picks.

"Jake struggled this afternoon, but you're talking about a top-three team he's facing here," said Coach Johns. "I know he's going to get a ton of flak but right now he's our best option."

Michigan would play catch-up in the second half, but repeated mishaps plagued the Wolverines. Jake Rudock threw two picks in the third, one to safety Vonn Bell and the other to linebacker Cam Williams. Having serious red-zone woes, Kenny Allen saved the day by booting three straight field goals, one from 54 yards out, to tie the game up at 16 early in the fourth.

Ohio State would respond in a huge way that etched J.T. Barrett into legendary status. Running an inverted veer halfway through the fourth, Joe Bolden would come unblocked as Barrett fakes the Elliott handoff. J.T. miraculously spins out Bolden in the same motion, and gets the edge en route to a deflating 43-yard score.

Michigan came back firing, driving right down the field. However, the Wolverines cost themselves the game in depressing fashion. Jake Rudock, still shaken by a Joey Bosa sack the play before, threw an off-the-mark pass to Khalid Hill, and was bobbled by star cornerback Eli Apple, eventually catching it before it hits the ground. Somehow, he didn't stumble, and he housed it for 82 yards to put the nail in the coffin. 30-16, Buckeyes.

The Wolverines struck back to keep the game within distance. Rudock came back and threw lasers, and with 2:43 to go he found Khalid Hill on a slant to put them a possession away from tying. However, the game would be sealed when after a dumbfounding Michigan kickoff Ohio State ran for three consecutive first downs, effectively ending the game at 30-23.

(On choosing to kick the ball off late in the fourth) "Well, I trusted the defense more than I did the kickoff team. Now that I look at it, I still would do that. Ezekiel [Elliott] is a great runner, and he was torching us all game long. I didn't want them to easily get back into the endzone." ~ Michigan head coach Tyler Johns

Michigan (7-2, 4-2) will travel to Happy Valley to face red-hot Penn State (6-3, 3-3), who has been playing better football as of late. With the Wolverines still in the thick of contention for the B1G title, this game is crucial for Michigan.

Ohio State (7-2, 5-2) will go on the road as well next week, facing the newly-ranked Illinois (7-2, 4-2). Now ranked at #1 following a classic Upset Week, the Buckeyes will have to run the table to get into the BCS National Championship game as a two-loss team.
