Question about using a Max Drive with PS3 ?
Can you use the Max Drive with the PS3 to get roster updates for MLB 06 The Show ??, and do you think we will be able to use it with MLB 07 The show ??Tags: None -
Re: Question about using a Max Drive with PS3 ?
You don't need it, you can use any SD, memory stick or USB drive to transfer saves for the PS3. -

Re: Question about using a Max Drive with PS3 ?
Max drive won't work under PS3 (I tried that myself), so if you still have your PS2 you can get the Maxdrive roster file put it into the memory card for the PS2 and then transfer the roster to the PS3 internal PS2 Virtual memory using an additional accessory sold for that purpose

Re: Question about using a Max Drive with PS3 ?
So we still have to use the PS2 to get the roster saves and then use that PS2 memory card reader device to transfer the roster updates to the PS3 ??
How will this work with the "PS3 version" of MLB 07 The Show when roster updates come out ??
Have they released a PS3 Max Drive for those poor people that only have dial-up to get updates ?Comment

Not really, because people usually share the save file on the internet. As long as they do, you will be able to transfer the save using any memory device. It's only a video game.Comment

Re: Question about using a Max Drive with PS3 ?
Well that was my thought at first, but the thing is that when you try to transfer any content from the PS3 virtual memory devices (that you have created previously to save PS2 games) you don't have the option to copy to another memory device other than the PS2 memory card reader for the PS3. This limitation won't happen for PS3's game saves which give you an option to select any supported storage device connected to PS3.Comment
