I just discovered (because of a post in this thread) the strategy guide in the pause menu. It explains everything. Boy, vision is a lot more important then I thought.
Once and for all, how do the following stats effect an RTTS player?

Re: Once and for all, how do the following stats effect an RTTS player?
From what I can tell:
Clutch = The ability to get a hit with runners in scoring position.
Vision = Not sure.
Discipline = Plate discipline, ability to judge balls and strikes.
Reaction = How quickly a player reacts to a batted ball.
Pitching Clutch = The ability for the pitcher to make his pitches and get an out with runners in scoring position. -

They all matter when using a human player! Check the Pause Screen under strategies.Comment

Clutch - yes, perform better when the game is on the line
Pitching Clutch - same as above, plus lose confidence less quickly
Discipline might also affect check swings.
Reaction - yes you are reacting, but push the controller to the left, the game may still delay his actual movement.
(These are all just guesses on my part)Comment

Re: Once and for all, how do the following stats effect an RTTS player?
clutch -how much more or less you are likely to make good contact when you have runners in scoring, bottom of the ninthKeep in mind, a player that you actually play every game with. Never simulated.
Clutch = I suppose you have a better chance of getting a hit (with good contact) when the game is on the line?
Vision = This sound simulated only
Discipline = Again, simulated only
Reaction = You're the one reacting, so is this a simulated category?
Pitching Clutch = Again, simulated?
dont know how much this effects things but my first season in RTTS this year i cant have hit .150 with runners in scoring position
Vision- how much of the plate do you cover when you swing
middle away pitch to a pitcher with zero vision and a good swing and you get nothing same pitch with 100 vision and you get good contact
Plate discipline-yea 100% simulation
reaction -well its tied to fielding so im guessing its how quick you react to line drives at your head and such like
high reaction +good results more often
Pitching clutch - how likely are you going to hit your spot with the bases loaded bottom of the ninth leading by one and Vlad's at the plate
now everything is contextual so great clutch hitting and poor contact and power still makes you a bad hitter!
hope that helps"whats wrong with him?""he's got a concussion boss""can he play?""boss he does nt know who he is!""well tell him he's Pele and get him fecking back on"BFR manager of WBA 1978Comment

Correct. The higher discipline you have the easier it is for your guy to successfully check his swing instead of going through a bit.Return of the MackComment

The OP Found what he was looking for, so I'm shutting it down.
