I am sick of seeing people write how impressed they are the development team has already released two patches. I paid sixty bucks with the impression I was getting a fully functional product, right away. Granted I love the gameplay, but all in all they pretty much released a broken game. Why is it now that it has become ok and expected a patch will be released with a game? What happened to the good old days of getting a game that worked, for the most part, right off the bat?! Honestly, if they know about all these problems, why release the thing so early? I would trade a working game released on opening day than the half assed effort that was out at first. Slowly, we are seeing progress, but it still burns me that they just can't release something that works as advertised. I honestly have contemplated selling the ps3, which I bought strictly for the show. I was expecting to be playing the show non-stop this year, but its looking like my 350 dollars for game and system would be better used for college and other stuff.
So I ask, why has it become ok for a product to be released that doesn't fully work? I hate to sound like a ranting fool but I have been really taken back this year. The Show has been a staple in baseball games and still trumps 2k, god I would never try 2k again for baseball games. But I wonder if it is not even worth it to have any baseball game anymore.
The sad thing is, it is not just baseball games that are released not working as expected. Nearly every game released now a days requires a patch at some point to fully work, and usually still doesn't after. I am fed up
