    Differences/Improvements from MLB 12 to MLB 13

I was wondering what you guys thought were big differences/improvements from last year's MLB The Show and this year's.

Were there any "must haves/deal breakers" in order to get this year's game that you got?

Me personally, I think the we are now spoiled with the new ball physics. It would be tough to go back to 12 and not have the same hit variety. The insane amount of ground rule doubles are reduced to a realistic number. I also feel that the amount of come-backers that hit the pitcher have been reduced as well.

Also, a big deal breaker for me was the pitch out glitch in 12. It was very prevalent in 12's RTTS. The pitcher would pitch out and the catcher would freeze in the position of throwing the ball. Thank you devs for fixing that.

I also gotta say that I love the Nike sign on the collar.

What are your opinion's on what were the big improvements from last year's version to this year's?

Wild pitches now happen on a regular basis in 13. Rarely ever saw them in 12. Makes the game much more realistic, especially when you have runners on base.

Hit variety is improved. I prefer the way 11 and 12 move though. The ball and the game in general seem floaty to me in 13. Great game though but I think with all its faults I still prefer 12.

I'm seeing a ton more bloop singles which is very awesome in my opinion. Anytime in last year's game a ball was softly hit, it ended up being a routine fly ball. So i'm definitely enjoying this.

Wow, prefer 12 over 13? That's surprising to me. I think 13 is much improved and the ball physics alone make this game worth the purchase. 12 was a great game though.

All ball physics changes (can still be worked on obviously, but definitely an improvement).

All gameplay/controller responsiveness (corner infield play, for example, is like 1000% better).

            Presentation options and changes.

The Vita version also followed along very nicely.

The "ole" plays by the 3B are way toned down this year. That was frustrating as hell in 12, when you made a great pitch to get out of an inning only to see the 3B whiff on a ball he should have eaten up.

I'm really loving how the CPU will more frequently chase out of the zone.

Really gets old having to try and blow guys away every time.

Re: Differences/Improvements from MLB 12 to MLB 13

They basically refined everything from 12.

                    Ball physics are remarkable.
                    Score bug is awesome
                    Ticker works properly
Presentation is a mix of 11 and 12. I love seeing the batter pre hitting routines from the pitchers mound as well as when I bat. The pace of the game is perfect this year.
Fielding is better (and i auto field and manual throw) the animations are smoother, fielder ratings matter, speed matters, everything matters.

Scouting in franchise is far better.
                    Training is far better.

CPU chasing pitches out of the zone is awesome and was much needed.

                    Everything is just better.

This sums it up. I'm bummed that the ticker was removed from the Vita version, though.

Have to agree with this 100 percent.

Love the improved ball physics and variety of different hits, but the ball is extremely floaty coming in and hitting as a whole seems very off.

Lots of behind the scenes manipulation of hits.

Definitely prefer 12 and will likely go back.
