Anybody trying to get realistic hitting stats??
I'm having a tough time getting realistic HR totals. I've tried just using X button and it's hard to get realistic hitting stats. I play on HOF. I just want to get as close to the real hitting stats as possible...mainly Batting Average and HR's and possibly extra base hits. Feel free to share what you have done and your stats.Tags: None -
Re: Anybody trying to get realistic hitting stats??
During my franchise I used ST as my Slider Tweaker Games where I experimented with the sliders to see what each did but towards the end I came to the conclusion that game playes pretty realistic on almost default on HOF. Only thing I tweaked were USER contact, Arm Strength & accuracy & CPU Pitch Speed moved 2 clicks to the left, maxed out pitch count, injuries, & CPU runner agression & thats it! I have been having a hell of a time with the game so far being 6-5 regular season. Also the game has been giving me random scoring too, I was playing the Pirates & was losing 3-1 (gave up a 3 run Blast to Bay on a mistake pitch) because Zack Duke was owning me though I made him throw alot of pitches they took him out in the 8th & brought in some guy who had an ERA of 8+. Well I pretty much lit up that pitcher with 6 runs in the 8th, it was great. From being 3-hit by Duke to blowing out the crappy pitcher was awsome. That was the only game that I did that in as the other games have been pretty close which I love.Last edited by myghty; 03-29-2006, 10:58 AM."In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully

Re: Anybody trying to get realistic hitting stats??
I'm having trouble getting realistic hitting stats as well. HRs are about right for me, but I am getting way too many hits. I am hitting .330 as a team with the Phillies, but I probably lead the league in strikeouts. I really like the pitching though.Originally posted by davewinsI'm having a tough time getting realistic HR totals. I've tried just using X button and it's hard to get realistic hitting stats. I'm on HOF, contact at 0, power at default and CPU pitch speed at +2. I don't really know what else to do. If I lower the power, my HR numbers will be too low. If I raise pitch speed any further, my strikeout numbers will probably be even more ridiculous.Comment

Maybe you should try lowering the contact ratings for each player. Do it uniformally if that's a word of course. For example if you lower Aaron Rowand's contact by 20 clicks then do it for everybody else on the roster.Originally posted by jujuhoundI'm having trouble getting realistic hitting stats as well.
