What attributes should get the most attention?

use the dribble drill to get +1/+2 speed til you max it out then sell back 2 points. now everytime you get +1/+2 in speed, sell it back and you'll get more points than any other skill you would have picked up from a drill.

as for attributes, i just concnentrated for things i wanted my myplayer to do to make the game fun for me.

for my pg, the first thing i concentrated on was handles and quickness. then 3pt shooting, layup/dunk, shoot off the dribble. i never touched off/def or any of the other attributes on that page until my 2nd season

for my center, i upped blocks 1st, then quickness, strength. worked on my offensive attributes (shot close, dunk) then rebounding
        myplayer:
(1)5'10 PG, drafted 2nd round by the knicks. moved to the clippers in season 2
(2)7'5 C, drafted 26th in 1st round by Thunder. After winning the championship with the Thunder, I signed with the Chicago Bulls

        NBA - Magic, Kings
        NFL - 49ers

My player is now 50 overall (go ahead and hate), making 3's and jump shots..

            6'2 PG - Knicks

No reason to hate. My guy is a 65 and he destroys most PF's of todays day and age. All he needs is some mid range shooting and i'd be unstoppable. Like one guy said, work on what's fun for you. I have a 99 SG already so i wanted to do more of a post/rebound/block kind of player...so that's what i do :P

Re: Fastest way to build My Player?

Well I've been using this PG i created (6'1" 180 lbs) and the main things i worked on at first were ball handle, mid range, and layup. I'm only a 50 ovr (5 games into NBA season on HOF) and my mid range is an 85, layup is a 92, ball handle is a 90, off hand is a 79, and pass is a 72. Don't worry about 3 point and definitely not shot close or inside if ur not a center/power forward. Another thing to focus on (if u play HOF like me) is on ball defense. Mine is only a 60, but getting it higher will allow u to not drop to the deck every time Shaq hits u with a crossover. Finally, work on hands no matter what position. With good hands, once a shot goes up u just cherry pick and won't drop the ball. Hope this helps!
