    I guess it's promising to read that IGN could tell a differnce immidiately and it's the most excited they are for the final product in a while.

        The pass meter id guess will suck. There has always been button sensitivity for a lob or harder pass. Now there is a meter you have to wait to load before a pass.

        Just sounds needless to what was already there. Like the passing vision cones that was useless.

                  "Any collision on the field will now lean on our FieldSense system to determine if they should branch to a stumble or fall, both during the play and after the play is over. For example, if a defender misses a tackle attempt, that player can take out a teammate by tripping him; or hitting a ball carrier at a bad angle can force him into a stumble or out of a tackle; you can even knock a teammate off of an ongoing tackle. This system will produce more organic, dynamic moments that are reactive to the action on the field making gameplay less predictable, while also offering more control."

                  So glad they are bringing this back to Madden on Next Gen! It will definitely enhance gameplay for sure. It's funny because I posted this same clip on Reddit about a week ago saying that we needed this back in Madden. A lot of people were skeptical because it would require EA to "actually do some work" and yet here we are. I'm really excited about this.

                    The FieldSENSE Gameplay System is only available on Playstation®5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Madden NFL 23.
                    So PC players get shafted once again with the "last gen" version of the game. Nice.

                      To me it seems like a mechanic similar to what you get in a baseball game. The good thing about it is that it appears that you can enable or disable it to your choosing. I'm all for anything that's different.

                      I have to admit, this is pretty exciting news for on the field play should they all work as intended. Hope we're able to get a glimpse when the beta comes out.

                        It sounds good, depends on how it looks and work in game. Bad news is it sounds like the offensive and defensive line play didnt get much attention.

                            So do those that don't have a PS5 or the latest Xbox. I never buy those newest consoles til they go on sale. Should be some sales this holiday season, or not. I can wait. I'm not spending $500 when eventually it will come down and have the bugs worked out.

                            I don't like to get the first version.

                              Tiburon is showing some development maturity in building in options for the skill based passing. I feel like in years past, they’d shove the enhancements down your throat with little or no customization. Being considerate to those of us who like clean screens (the ability to turn the meters off while using the new mechanic) and allowing users to experience the changes in a layered fashion is a new approach for them.
