What is a good Pomade ?

It's made by Crew and its called fiber, and they also have shaping cream or I think that's what its called. I use both but fiber would probably be less shiny.

Perhaps the oldest example, and some would say "original" pomade has been "Murray's Superior Pomade", originating in the mid 20's; from which the term grew. In the late 90's; pomade grew from tradition to a general consumer product meaning any sort of solid "hair-styling product"; including waxes, glues, clays, and a variety of substances marketed under the original term.

In the United States they can still be found in stores or sections of stores containing hair products marketed to African-Americans. Among whites the use of pomades was up until quite recently confined to subculture groups such as punk, goth, and rockabilly (including reggae.)

In the past two or three years, however the product has over the years overtaken hairspray and mousse as the preferred method of dominating unruly follicles.

ahh, I have American Crew Forming Cram but it leaves my hair with that wet look. I'll have to try that fiber stuff. I think I saw it in a blue can.

LA Looks Fiber Creme Pomade, Xtreme Hold is a pretty good one but to me leaves my hair too thick... if I go play basketball with it still in, my hair wont let me sweat so it all comes out my forehead, but then again I sweat a lot.

I started using Fructis Fiber Gum Putty... kinda wet hair look but not WET hair at all.

There is also American Crew grooming cream but it's greasier than the forming cream. I've been using the fiber to spike my hair for years, it's nice and doesn't leave a wet greasy look. It's pretty dry.
