PES 2013 Tricks & Skills Tutorial (Video)

Figured I would start a new thread since people (including yours truly) were having some difficulty with the finer nuances of the controls. I found this video to be helpful. Feel free to add your own feedback/vids if you so desire.

I rarely use anything more than R1 and R2. They really nailed the pace and spacing this year, where you can use different touches to get by tackle attempts. I had a play as Inter against some scrubby team, I forget who the player was, but I managed to time my touches just right and get past a few defenders and rip a shot off from distance. It missed just wide, but looked so realistic I watched the replay about a half dozen times. My guy accelerated with a few touches past one guy, then put a slight touch on the ball to make it past a defender's tackle attempt, then accelerated into space to get off the shot as another guy slid in from the side trying to block the shot. Stunning stuff.

So yeah, R1 and R2.

Though I do also have a few moves mapped to link feints, and will bust those out on occasion. I find using L1 + the R stick is easier than trying to pull off the moves otherwise, because they let you set it up so that you don't have to worry about the direction the player is facing.
