I just downloaded an update for TW08. Anyone know what it did or was supposed to fix?

It's suppose to fix the freeze bug and some online issues with players quitting causing the game to end.

Freezing bug during Carnoustie challenge and after the first hole of any game.

when playing a round online with 3 or 4 players, one person dropping out does not end the game.

and xbox live silver users can use gamernet, not just gold users.

So does this update take care of all the freezing issues with the game? I've been wanting to pick it up, but I've held off because of the problems people were having.

The freezing problem must be an online thing, cause I haven't seen anything wrong with it on my game.

I for one have not experienced the freezing issue, but I know people who it has affected and has since been fixed. The issue was during your career and I believe on your challenges.

No its not just an online thing, my game did it constantly in the tiger challenge.

I haven't had any freezing since applying the patch, but I'm in no hurry to complete the Tiger Challenge. I "cheated" and bought the maxed out player the day it hit the Marketplace, mostly because I find much of the Tiger Challenge to be tedious, and some of it downright silly (I hate oneball and can barely stomach bingo-bango-bongo).

I feel more confident as I play the game now after the update. I'll be more curious to see what they do with the much more comprehensive 2nd update, for which they are still gathering feedback. This game will really be tight once its implemented, IMO.

By the time that comes out, I will have sold TW. I'm not waiting on have them fix things that shouldn't have been a problem in the first place.

With all these updates and fixes they have to work on I guess we can count out those downloadable course they promised.
