Most of the OS people's impressions are here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...iscussion.html
I like the game because it has a fun twist to it with the characters and courses while still having a great golfing core to it. The online part of the game is very good, it would be great if it had voice chat. But the fact that I've never seen lag is awesome, it plays online just like offline. I really like the single player Challenge Mode. Sure the game could really use 2 or 3 more courses, but what it has is outstanding.

I can pretty much echo everything that Kev said about the game. IMO, the characters post-shot reactions and pre-shot antics can actually be a little annoying. Especially when you see it atleast a dozen times or more during an 18 hole round. That being said, the golf action is what keeps me coming back for more. The ball physics are pretty impressive but there are some over the top stuff, such as super spin where the ball will take a drastic counter spin leaving a burning streak of fire. Most of the OS people's impressions are here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...iscussion.html

All in all, I can look past the gimmicky stuff because the game is straight up FUN to play. The online is an excellent addition and we have been having a blast playing in some OS exclusive stroke play rounds!!!
I highly reccommend getting this game, you won't be sorry!!! Even people who don't normally follow golf or even play it (like myself) are enjoying this game.XBL Gamertag: hoos4974

Is it THAT good? No. it is not but it is fun and it a well done version of the series for ps3.
it's like Mario Golf meets a morning talk show or somethin like that LOL.
Is it worth 60? not for me. as I like the nintendo characters more than the hot shots one because of the of the classic nature within nintendos franchises.Brand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

I personally think that it's "that good". Mainly because it's "That Fun"
There's some things I wish it had like create a golfer and voice chat online. More courses is a must also so maybe there will be some downloadable.
It's an enjoayable game to play and online is a blast. Except for last night when the tourney I entered had the time set (I guess you can set the time) too low. On my first par 5 of the tourney I was sitting at -2. I got to the green and was chipping on for my 4th shot and noticed the clock at 15 seconds. So rush mode set in and I chipped on and then because of rushing I missed the 4" putt as time expired. 18 hours before I could play again. That sucked.Joshua:

yeah the time limit if set to "Normal" is too fast I think. In our OS meetups I set it to "Slow" and it is the perfect amount of time I think. With private room matches, it automatically takes you to the 20 sec breather before the next hole once all golfers have completed that hole which is good, but the problem with the online official tourneys is that even once all the golfers have finished their hole, it still makes you wait for the entire hole amount. It's not bad for the faster ones like you were in, but it is painful in the super slow tourneys.I personally think that it's "that good". Mainly because it's "That Fun"

Worth every nickel. Best golf engine out there! I could care less about the cartoon characters. Good courses and great gameplay is good enough. If I want to stare at pro golfers, I will attend a PGA event.Comment

I played a couple of rounds last night and YES I will confirm this is the BEST playing and looking video game on the market.
I cant wait to start unlocking some of the other courses and players. This a great game.
The only thing I dont like is the online so far. I was on last night trying to get a game and NOT ONE PERSON wanted to play.
I dont know what I need to do or if you cant play a vs. match with another player online.Moderator

People generally are not in the lobbies to play one on one matches, they are there for the tournaments. You need to go into one of the lobbies with people in there, press triangle and look at the Tournament Lists. Find a tournament that is accepting entries (one that has people already signed up in it too unless you want to play in a tournament by yourself LOL) and register for that tourney. There are about 5 tournaments an hour right? Just find one that you meet the limitations (character and course limitations) and play in it with around 30 other people. Don't quit in the middle of a tournament though, otherwise you won't be able to play in another one for 18 hours!I played a couple of rounds last night and YES I will confirm this is the BEST playing and looking video game on the market.

If you want to play with some OS'ers and you have the Safari course unlocked, check the meetup #4 thread.
Does that help?
