Collector or Standard for PS3

I pretty much had talked myself into the pre order on the Collector Edition for the PS3 however.........

I now notice that the standard is 10 dollars less with a 10 dollar credit on amazon.

There is no 10 dollar credit on the collector edition.

Is there enough there to warrant a 20 dollar price gap ??

I know there are 5 extra courses......so I would be paying 4 bucks each for them.

What is everyone else doing ??

Re: Collector or Standard for PS3

A $20 difference makes it tough. Remember 2 of those are fantasy courses which for me are a complete waste and I will never use so it would only be 3 extra courses and with the standard addition you get an extra course if you preorder, not sure if you get that bonus course with a pre-order of the collector's edition. If you don't then you're paying $20 for 2 extra courses and if you do then $20 for 3 courses isn't much of a deal either.

I would say definately not if you don't like fantasy courses and a definate maybe if you do. At this point we don't know how much DLC courses will cost. They might be $5 a course or as much as $10 a course.

I'm with you the fantasy courses are worthless to me.

I'm leaning towards the standard edition at this point.

I decided to pass on the Collector's Edition as soon as I saw that two of the additional courses were fantasy courses, which are of no interest to me. I'm not a fan of Wolf Creek either, so that pretty much cinched it for me. I'm hoping they'll offer some attractive bundles like they did with Tiger 11. I bought 4 different bundles when they hit the market

I went with the standard edition.

99 cent release day delivery from amazon with 10 dollar credit.

Re: Collector or Standard for PS3

Just cancelled my preorder for the Collector's edition and just ordered the standard version for the PS3.

Save $10,
Get $10 towards another game,
Free release day delivery.

I will just use the extra money to purchase the courses that I want as I have NO interest in fantasy courses.

What did they charge for the bundles last year and could you pick and choose what courses you wanted in a bundle?
