Re: Jack's Record Is Safe

If i was in his camp...I'd convince him to take off 3 to 4 months....call Butch Harmon and get to work on being if he can get his swing back (as someone has already stated on here...which I fully agree with).

If he truly cares about the major tiles....which is really all that should matter to him.....he could give to craps about winning the "Jo-Shmo Insurance Tourney" or whatever tour stop. He needs to get a swing coach, get his swing in order, benefit from a "mental" break from golf, and come back refreshed and prepared to take a final shot at winning a few of these.

I still think Tiger can get a few more majors this way as he just too talented. Some of these majors you only need to be average for two rounds and great in the other two....and I think Tiger still has that in him.

I don't think there's any love lost between Harmon and Woods. He needs to play in the lesser tournaments and not concentrate on the majors. Let's see the guy shoot 4 rounds in a row at par or better before claiming he can win anything again let alone a major.

There might be some hope left.

I agree 100%. It is just not the same without Tiger on the front page of the leaderboard on Sunday in a Major or hell, ANY tournament these days......Golf is in a much better place since Tiger came along, but I think it still misses him being relevant as he is still a polarizing figure today, but seemingly a better person then before. Oh how humility works in its own mysterious ways......

Re: Jack's Record Is Safe

Got a lot of the old Tiger today mixed in with the just a few shots from the recent Tiger. Nice to see, hope he can follow with another solid round tomorrow.

That'll be the key...he's shown he's still capable of great rounds (I mean, he's still Tiger...sort of), but can he string 4 of them together?

To quote Hank Haney and others, he needs to eliminate his "big miss" and he will be fine. If he pars the hole he doubled, he shoots 64....

....and if my aunt had balls.....

Just kidding with you. Agree with what you said, but that's been his MO of late, right? The big blow-up hole?
