(I wanted to lose Joslin for a good prospect with a low overall. Joslin had a 1 way contract which I wanted to get rid off. Now I got two prospects who need to grow big time and a late pick. I got the best by far. Not really realistic, but I tried it and they took the deal. I was suprised.)

First game of the season at home. Would be a great opportunity to get the first win, but we did not. Roloson was good and Tampa Bay had mostly opportunistic shots. Shut out on the first regular season game. A shame!

Carolina is rumoured to be searching for a top 6 left winger.

After the lost game versus Tamba Bay, GM Jo Loonstra talked to the press.

"Jo, what are your feelings on the first regular season game?"

Loonstra: "I'm disappointed that we lost and got shut out. We really wanted to win in front of a homecrowd that had high expectations after the great pre-season. We lost and have to move on. There are still 81 games to play this regular season."

"There are rumours you are looking for a top 6 winger?"

Loonstra: "We are always looking for players that could improve or upgrade our roster, but I'm not the only GM to do so."

"Can we expect Parise or someone of that stature? We heard rumours of Taylor Pyatt, but he 's not your typical top 6 winger?"

Loonstra: "Zack Parise or even Kovalchuk would be superb, but we are pretty sure he is not for sale. Taylor Pyatt is another story. I like his play, but we have not been talking with Phoenix about him. These are just rumours. We got Artyukhin and we will put him on the 4th line. The 2nd line experiment of Kirk (Muller) wasn't a succes. Kirk will put Tlusty on the 2nd line. We need some depth in our roster and don't want to force young talented players in a 4th line role. We'll see how things work out. 1 game played, no time to panic."

Losing the first of the season is always dissapointing. But getting shut out at home after such a promising preseason really sucks. Hopefully this won't happen to me aswell.

Regarding your top6 winger problem, I would recommend M. Pacioretty. Beeing a PWF with 83 OVR an B- potential and having such a low trade value makes him a no-brainer in almost all of my dynasties.
