Schneider Stifles Flyers Offense

Cory Schneider makes one of his 40 saves during last night's 3-1 victory

NHL.com -- Usually when a team dominates play and has 40+ shots, odds are they will come away victorious. Last night was not one of those nights as Baltimore's goalie Cory Schneider stopped everything the Flyers threw at him and only a Taylor Hall mix up cost him the shutout. Michael Neuvirth on the other hand wasn't his best and that ultimately was the deciding factor.

Kronwall's Three Assists in Debut Leads Flyers

Niklas Kronwall had three assists in his debut with the Flyers

NHL.com -- Niklas Kronwall's debut with his new team was an exceptional one as he played a role in three of the Flyers four goals and a Radko Gudas goal late in the third gave the Flyers a 4-3 Win last night vs their rivals the New York Rangers. Raanta started the game for the Rangers and he gave the Flyers fits with 36 saves. Steve Mason shook off some iffy goals to keep the Flyers in the game. Nick Cousins would score two and Wayne Simmonds scored as well for the Flyers who won their third straight game without captain Claude Giroux.

Re: Reviving the Flyers(NHL17) 2.0

Big Night for the Flyers as Giroux Returns

Giroux sits on the bench in his 1st game back from injury

NHL.com -- The Orange Jesus finally returned after three weeks and the Flyers' offense was resurrected in a 6-2 drubbing of the Hartford Whalers. The Whalers kept the game close in the 2nd period with goals from Rask and Teravainen that tied the game, but within the next three minutes goals from Konecny and Kronwall(1st as a Flyer) put the Whalers on their heels. Giroux's 1st goal back also proved to be the final straw as Cam Ward was pulled for Eddie Lack. Lack stopped the bleeding but the Whalers offense could not get any foothold. The bright spot for the Whalers was holding the Flyers PP to 0/6.

Re: Reviving the Flyers(NHL17) 2.0

Sean Couturier Has Career Night, Flyers Blow Out Nucks

NHL.com -- The Flyers were finally back to reasonable health after being decimated by injuries over the last three weeks. Those injuries to key players has cost the Flyers points in the playoff race as they sit about three points out of a wildcard position. With only injuries to Mark Streit and Steve Mason the Flyers took out their anger on the lowly Vancouver Canucks. Anthony Stolarz got the nod for the Flyers, with Mason, who is still not 100%, dressed as his backup. While Jacob Markstrom was in net for the Nucks. The scoring started early for the Flyers as just under three minutes in Wayne Simmonds beat Markstrom. Six minutes later Sean Couturier would add his 1st of the night, giving the Flyers a 2-0 lead. The Canucks had their chances, including a 5 minute powerplay after Brayden Schenn boarded Nikita Tryamkin and was given a Game misconduct, but Stolarz and the Flyers PK stopped chance after chance. The 2nd period was all Flyers as they put four past Markstrom and chased him. Ryan Miller was flawless until a Wayne Simmonds pass to a streaking Couturier led to Coot's Hat Trick goal and a 7-1 victory.
