    GuFF's Data Driven Sliders

I adjusted my sliders to match the NFL averages I determined using Profootball Focus' Stats. I use a range of averages amoung the starters at their positions. For instance yards per completion in the NFL ranged from 6-10 yards per completion, so if i have a top defense id expect the opponents to be at the low end. I sum stats ive recorded every 8 weeks and observe the averages rather than making knee jerk reactions from a single game. Example is say a good rb may average 5 YPC over the season but thats not to say he doesnt have a few games he averages 4 or less.

These are the stats I track throughout the season and adjust the sliders accordingly:
    1. QB, yards / completion
    2. QB, yards / attempt
    3. QB, Completion %
    4. QB, adjusted completion % (completions / (attempts - drops - throw aways) *throw aways must be manually tracked during the game.
    5. DEF, Sack / opponent pass attempt
    6. WR/TE, drops / pass attempt
    7. RB, yards / attempt
    8. DEF, tackles for loss / opponent rushing attempt
    9. DEF, forced fumbles / game
    10. DEF, interception / opponent pass attempt
    11. DEF, Pass deflection / opponent pass attempt
    12. RB, broken tackles / rushing attempt
    13. Offensive plays per game.

Settings in the menu that I use:

    Skill: All Pro
    game play style : simulation
    Quarter length: 13 min
    Accelerated Clock: 25 sec
    Threshold: 50
    Stamina: 50
    Injuries: 10

    *UPDATED 2-1-19*
    Sliders: (Hum / CPU)
    Qb acc: 52 / 54
    Pass Block: 47 / 22
    WR Catch: 76 / 76
    Run Block: 21 / 63
    Fumbles: 50 / 50
    Pass Def Reaction Time: 0 / 0
    Interceptions: 23 / 20
    Pass Coverage: 50/0
    Tackling: 40 / 40

    Change Log:
    1-15-19
    HUM QB ACC -1
    CPU QB ACC -1
    HUM PASS BLOCK +2
    CPU PASS BLOCK -10
    HUM RUN BLOCK -1

    1-18-19
    HUM run block -3

    2-1-19
    HUM QB ACC -1
    CPU QB ACC -1
    CPU PASS BLOCK +2
    HUM RUN BLOCK -19
    CPU RUN BLOCK +6
    HUM INT +1
    HUM TACKLING +2
    CPU TACKLING +2

These sliders were just too good to not take a few minutes to share, hope you enjoy and feel free to ask any questions.

Nevermind to easy, especiall run game, had 2 70+ runs with ease in first half. Think tackle is to low.

Had much the same experience, I tried these for a couple games. A lot I liked, I was nervous about CPU pass coverage but it ended up being my favorite part of the set. The run game was indeed a bit easy for me, lb were very passive so I’d get seven yards before they engaged and with a good back one move and it was a big gain. There was a lot to like here though!

                    Re: GuFF's Data Driven Sliders

I agree woth you guys, ive been slowly dropping hum run blocking, as that and cpu pass block are the last 2 sliders ive been slowly tweeking.

Im posting a change to the sliders but my changes are somewhat gradual as i like to monitor the slight changes as we all know in madden a 1 point change in the sliders can sometimes be a tipping point.

If you want to make the run game more difficult, decrease hum run block, dont touch the tackle slider. An NFL rb typically breaks a tackle on 15-30% of their touches, tackling at 38 in my experience with different backs represents that well.

Thank you guys for the feedback!
