The gameplay is much better which makes this extremely upsetting.

I just simmed 10 seasons on a new CFM. 26 quarterbacks have 90+ short and medium accuracy (5 have it maxed out at 99 for both) with the deep accuracy hovering around the low 80's.

There are also a ton of CB's with high 90 coverage ratings and MLB with high 90 tackle ratings (3 teams have 2 MLB with 99 tackle) and multiple WR with high 90 catch ratings on each team.

I want to try yo re set CONF at the start of every year to see if that changes anything, but I don't even know how to do that....

Honestly though I think EA needs to ditch the xp system in favor of something else, maybe pre scripting development because there are too many issues right now to make CFM playable.

I'm seriously considering playing w/ 32 team control(offline) and just picking a team to use each week, No simming involved.

The gameplay is at all time best, so I'm sure we'll get a solution for this year's CFM.

I don't know what a good number for the sacks allowed stat is - it's not an official stat that the NFL tracks, if someone can find this info that'd be wonderful - but looking at some articles propping up Tyron Smith against other left tackles, it appears the elite tackles allow low single digits a season.

On its face, the idea of in-season player regression is one I like, but this obviously appears a bit extreme.

I would consider J.Thomas elite and he has allowed 34.25 sacks...in his career!

They tried pre-scripting development a few years ago, when people had "A", "B", "C", "D", and "F" potential. While it got rid of these bugs, it brought on other problems. You could throw for 6000 yards but if you had "F" potential, you wouldn't go up at all.

Back on topic though, I suppose if it's not regressing user-controlled players, I can live with it until a patch is given.

Re: Players Regressing During Regular Season Too Soon?

This bug is really frustrating since this year's game is SO good and I can't wait to get into my franchise. I'm a teacher and my summer vacation comes to an end next week so playing time will be greatly reduced

Anyhow, I've read the whole thread and I'm still not clear on a few things.
1. Does this bug affect offline franchises as well as cloud based?

2. Does anyone know will a patch affect franchises already active? Trying to decide if starting a new franchise is worth it since I only have time to play 1-2 games a day and expect the patch to be out before I'm done with a season.

From what I have read the fix is supposedly is going to be to the server and the client (us) thus meaning it will fix offline and online...but thats speculation. Secondly, there was a thread going over how the devs said to not start a 'chise due to the patch. I mean you can cause it works, but when the patch comes you will more than likely need to start over.

Hope that helps.

Yea, that clears it up and just confirms what I was afraid of . Seems like each year there is something that causes us to delay the start of our franchises. At least the game plays great in the mean time.

Thanks!

Re: Players Regressing During Regular Season Too Soon?

Played through 12 weeks so far with Miami. So far, Brandon Albert hasn't dropped a single point and neither has any O-linemen or QB. Meanwhile, the Rams have Greg Robinson down to a 64 PBK - not sure if that's his current roster rating or a decline.

So if you play the games, people won't drop. And, if Robinson's base PBK is 64, I also think the other teams don't drop. Could be wrong about the second sentence though.
