i cant stand how sticky the oline is, so yes this unrealistic, but damn, someone has to make a play on the run.

Im on all-madden with cpu run blocking at 35 and break tackle at 38. Some time my DL or LBs make plays, sometimes they spring a big one. they get on average of about 70 on me and 120 on my friend.

I'm not saying that you can't get realistic rush offense. But still Safties react unrealistically on cover 4. That's what I'm saying. Then the OL push DL 5 yds and they don't block shade at all. That's another issue for another thread. But these 2 with CPU running backs logic make the CPU rushing very weak.

Lower the holding penalty slider for less sticky blocking

JoshC, slider guru, recommends lowering it to 10.

Sorry to highjack the thread, I just saw someone mention sticky blocking and sticky blocking is one of my main pet peeves in the game.

Does game speed affect the safety reaction?

I play on all pro, slow speed, and my safeties don't react like this

They will react slower of course but they will still react faster than the rest of the team.

Wish linebackers would play the same against the run, currently they just stand there and wait till the running back crosses the LOS - entirely unrealistic

Re: Safties reacting to the run unrealistically.

I'm currently testing ways to free up linebackers more with my sliders.
It's tricky b/c I increased the cpu Rbk(60) and lowered my tak(40) and it did help the cpu run game but it caused more tackles by secondary players. When I play on everything default All-Pro, the linebackers do seem to play freely again.
If I just lower my tackle slider, that causes more assisted tackles, broken tackles, and the issue with secondary guys being involved in more tackles both solo and assisted.

I'm wondering if possibly lowering Rbk along with lowering user tak may be the trick.
Ex. Rbk: 40 tak: 40
I'm going to dig back deep into my game data and evaluate the games I played on default and the cpu ran for 100+ and see how the tackls, tfls, brk tackles looked.

I'm starting to think it's more to do with the playcalling. I use coaching calls and it seems like they call more secondary blitzes, which leads to more safeties flying in for tackles and tackles for loss.

So far in 2015, ESPN shows only 3 secondary players in the top 20 in combined tackles. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/pl...t/totalTackles
