Using custom playbooks for CPU in online francise -- What am I doing wrong?

Here's what I've done so far after reading threads here:

    1. Created second PSN profile.

    2. Created EA account with said profile.

    3. Downloaded playbooks for profile 2, joined my current online franchise as a 3rd string QB for the team I'm playing against that week, then switched back to profile 1

    4. Reloaded franchise with profile 1.

    5. Activate controller two and assign to profile 2. Both profiles are now logged in and assigned to their respective controllers, but only profile 1 (used to load franchise) is shown as active in the members section. Profile two is shown as inactive.

Because profile 2 is inactive, trying to start a game will only bring up the game invite to send to profile 2. If I put profile 2 on auto-pilot, I can get to the team select screen, but I can't move profile 2 controller icon over to the CPU team.

What exactly am I missing here?

    2 things...

1- this doesn't work for online cfm

2- to have the 2nd controller not **** off you need to have it plugged into the Xbox after you kick off. That way it never shuts off. Once it shuts off of go's inactive you are stuck...
