This is just a quote from my blog post... it's a few months old and that update came out on offline a long time ago now.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

OMN - I have recently seen a few stories that I've never seen before that there wasn't a clear category to put them under. Was there a recent patch that may have introduced a few new stories? Or maybe I just haven't come across them before.

I wish I could remember exactly what they were, I will jot them down next time if I see anymore. But anyway just giving a heads up to people that there may be a few unknown stories left to analyze (or at least it's not 100% obvious which category they would fall into).

EDIT - Also I saw a post saying you had a sim league? I would jump in for the heck of it if there is an open spot if you are still doing it, something different. No big deal if you are full or whatever though.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

I have a draft coming up and need to decide between 2 RBs:

Option 1 (96.84 TVR):
23 yrs 6'0"
Football Convert
Carrying A-,Elusiveness A-, Spin Move B
40 yd: 4.41
Vert: 34.9
3 Cone: 6.77
Shuttle: 4.02
Bench: 20

Option 2 (103.48 TVR):
22 yrs 6'2"
Son of Legendary HS Coach
Stiff Arm A, Carrying A-, BC Vision A-
40 yd: 4.59
Vert: 36.5
3 Cone: 6.90
Shuttle: 4.15
Bench: 23

Any thoughts or suggestions in picking between the two? I was thinking Option 1, b/c I like a little more speed, but I feel like there's a big jump in TVR for Option 2...

Option 2 is going to be a cross between balanced and power back. I'd go with 2 because that speed difference won't make a huge difference and having a guy who can truck and bull over people is awesome.

Agree with the above poster. While option A is a good 3-down back, he will not be nearly as effective as a power back like option B. His other ball carrier stats are likely marginally better as well. Just a hunch.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM - Version 4.1 Out Now!

Hi all, not sure if anyone checks this still but I had a quick question. I scouted a HB who won the Heisman and the tool is telling me not to draft him. Anyone have experience with a Heisman winner being a bust?

Yeah it's quite common. Chances are he'll be like a 68 with SS dev. Depends on your roster whether or not you still think he's worth drafting. With that Dev he has a chance to be good with some focus training and if he's young, but you may have to accept you won't be able to start him year one. With these guys, I wouldn't take them before round 3 or 4 in an offline, middle round 2 in a 32 man CFM.
