Like the title says. I drafted a rookie quarterback and he's started 3 games for now due to injuries. I just noticed that he's not gaining any experience points. Is this a glitch or what?

I have ran a lot of years of franchise on madden 17 and have never seen this. I would guess it is a glitch. I would edit the player and see if that knocks something loose. Maybe change his development trait for a week and change it back.

I set him as a focus player for practice one week and that seemed to bump whatever loose

None at all. He has a superstar development trait. He threw for 600ish yards and 5 touchdowns over the 3 games he started. Didn't earn any experience
