It is truely sad that it has gone down hill since those days. There is NO reason that franchise can't be exactly like NFL:HC. It's 2017, and most those guys went over to the Madden team anyway. They spend more time on gimmicks, like Longshot, target passing, tackle battles ect. Rather than the core game modes.

That is why I ONLY play online CFM. It is infinitely more fun, and much harder to deal with human intelligence than AI intelligence (for the most part). And if you find a good league with an advance schedule and set of rules that fit you, then it's a blast. To be honest if it wasn't for online CFM, then Madden 08 or 09 likely would have been the last Madden I bought.
I don't disagree with your points about the decline. Its absolutely true. However, all I can do is wait for it to get better again. The offline experience, by myself, is all that matters to me. Its 100% what Madden is to me. The rest is just filler that I could care less about. And since there aren't any other NFL games, all I can do is sit and patiently wait. Getting old as I do though. I was 28 in 2006, the last year that I played on the PS2. I'll be 40 in a few months.

i think since the Xbox One came out i may have played a grand total of 3 games online. Its 99% of the time a complete waste of time if you are looking to play football.

People play Madden online, I like to play football.

Re: Which do you prefer Offline or Online?

I still find Offline CFM very fun. It may be because of house rules I play with, coach mode or cpu v cpu along with OldManNathy's robust scouting system he created that it's saved Offline CFM for me. I loved M17. I went through almost 20 seasons before I eventually moved on.

I personally am an Offline only CFM player and am looking forward to M18 and as long as features from 17 didn't get taken away, I'm all in.

I'm 45 ,haven't played online in like forever. Could not take any more of the cheese plays by my opponents. I want true Sim and online is not the way to go for that.

Plus it seems that most of the people I came across seemed like adults but the IQ level was def not matching the voice.
Constant swearing and the butchering of the English language was as equally annoying as the consistency of them going for it on 4th and long.

Re: Which do you prefer Offline or Online?

Not sure if this post is getting views still. But after a month of spending money on packs. Sweating like a pig. Stressing my puppy out. Today I thought. WTF am I doing. My whole life I've played offline and that is where I will STAY.
1. Play when I want to
2. I don't care if you get league of people you have known you're whole life. A few will still cheat, whine, find exploits, etc
3. Adjusting sliders makes offline real and fun. Trying to win championship with my Bucs, penguins,Steelers, Borussia Dortmund is so amazing
4. And lastly but most IMPORTANTLY!!!
online is like bloody Nascar. Complete joke. No way in hell players go fast like ping pong balls. Even in MLB. These kids quick pitch etc.
**So glad I got it out of my system. Online flat out SUCKS!!!!!!
I actually feel sorry for people who are addicted to it. Get help. Lol. It's laughable

I see you’ve gotten yourself banned.

Welp, I’ll answer anyway:

Having accurate stats for the season is worth it to me to play online. Once Madden PC gets the next gen graphical update (and assuming the Franchise Editor is adapted for it), I’ll be able to manually enter those stats (or use the Start Today franchise), so I won’t have to do an online solo franchise.

I feel bad for people who spend hundreds, even thousands on a gambling mechanic where you see a bazillion copies of the same player. MUT is a black hole.

If you want competition, play in an online sim franchise league. Just as much fun without the money wasting. Maybe more, because you’re also competing with people to build a team out of the same pool of NFL players.
