Re: EA Sports Madden 18 Dev Tweets

Tweets between Shopmaster and Clint this morning on CFM competitive vs CFM Sim:

Ok, Thanks. I'm just trying to look out for my Competitive CFM Leagues who are trying to see what options they have.

Shop, I think you're confused w/ meaning of Comp style. Not implying CFM leagues are not competitive, but rather giving option of Online style

No, I understand that. There are some leagues that want to play on Competitive game style but want injuries on. That's all.

Tell me why... I still don't understand why CFM leagues do not want to play Sim all of the sudden?

This notion that only sim guys play CFM is wrong. I know tons of non-sim leagues out there who are diehard CFM guys.

There's no notion of that, that's why offering 3 different play styles to choose from. Still don't have an answer as to why no sim style?

You want to know why some leagues want to play on Comp. Game Style and not Sim Game Style? Is that what you are asking?

Yes, that's why I'm asking. Sim doesn't make the player any less competitive. It's just tuned authentically.

Ok, but that takes away from the very thing that makes CFM great. You don't have to build a team if there are no injuries.

So play on Sim?

I think the question is why aren't arcade and competitive able to have the same adjustable sliders/settings as sim.(not shopmaster)

Because then the styles cannot be tuned independent of the others.(Clint)

How does anybody know what they prefer? Nobody has played the game yet. It's just speculation at this point.(Clint)

Re: EA Sports Madden 18 Dev Tweets

I'm posting this because it so easily gets lost when we're giving our so called "opinion/feedback".

They really don't have to be so available and open with the community.

With how much other games are thrown in their face, they're the only developers of "any" game out that has given their community such access to the regular Joe gamer.

Re: EA Sports Madden 18 Dev Tweets

A simple solution would be a set injuries to off by default in competitive cfm mode but still allow them to be switched on if the user wants. Especially since injuries dont really have anything to do with game play styles as far as how each mode plays, I dont understand that decision, im sorry but I agree with Shopmaster.

They do have to do with randomness tho. Competitive designed at its core to eliminate randomness.

Re: EA Sports Madden 18 Dev Tweets

Can someone ask when Brady retires in CFM? With all this talk of him playing until he is 45 I am interested to see how Madden handled that and his regression. Especially as the cover athlete.

They addressed this before and said they fixed Tom Brady always retiring after the first season.
