If the madden community doesn't like the mode then it seems the team won't have the mode in madden 19. We'll see what happens.

It reminds me of that time in the 90's when pre-rendered FMV cut scenes would blow gamers away. This sort of presentation seems dated. I thought we were starting to move on from games as a medium for static story telling.

I had no expectations for this, and they still managed to disappoint me. Sounds like we get to watch a lamer version of Friday Night Lights...awesome.

Yeah this mode is going to be a waste of time, I definitely wont be playing it. It reminds me of both Spike Lee's NBA 2K16 "Movie" and The Journey, both of which I hated. If I wanted to watch a Football movie I'd watch "Friday Night Lights", "The Replacements", "Gridiron Gang" etc. So where do we go to tell EA we don't want this and to give us a Career Mode like NBA 2K17 My Career or The Show's Road to the Show?

Yup. Here's a quote that just kicks me right in the nads.

I want a weekly wrap up show so bad to make franchise more immersive. I'm not saying it would be easy, but, in essence, it's sort of movie quality, or it's part cut scene, part simulation football cut scene creation. So, they would have to be able to generate stuff in game. I admit, I don't know how easy or hard that would be. But, to have them work on this for 4 years and 'need frostbite' for it, and say things like, 'no being cheap'. Lol. Give me a weekly show! That would constantly give more bang for the buck for franchise players. And, if done well enough, maybe it would bring in the people that are actually going to enjoy this pointless mode. Lol.

Yeah, I just don't get this at all. Sports games aren't supposed to have campaigns, nor do they need it. It's a sport. U like the sport, u buy the game. This story will be over very quickly, I imagine. And, how much did it cost ea? When, they could've put that money into making CFM more interactive, making animations better, etc.

And, don't get me wrong, we haven't seen the true gameplay, yet. So, maybe they also added those things. But, wow, this just seems like a huge waste of money and time on their end. I'm really not sure how many casuals are suddenly going to play madden because now it has a story mode. So, I don't want to hear that arg. I think madden's upper management has serious issues with understanding what should go into a good football game. Lol. But, I see that in my job as well. So, que sera sera.
