I'll reply to both here. In NBA 2k you certainly do get to customize mostly everything about yourself. They added a story to their career mode. After you play 8 games it's over. Never to return. And the majority of players are tired of that even.

I haven't played FIFA. Ever. Lol. But from what I've read mostly seems to have meh or negative reactions.

Madden is doing something different. From the stuff I've read there won't be much playing of anything. Even heard a dev say it's more of a movie.

The overal tone I've gotten from YouTube comments and this forum is people are tired of forced storylines. They want the career mode to be their story.

I think longshot will be a neat story. I think it'll get good praise from a technical standpoint. But as far as being a fun and immersive mode I think it'll fail.

Im going to install Fifa 17 via EA Access just to play Journey to get a feel of what Longshot will be like.

The Journey was praised a ton online and by the critics. I tend to avoid using YouTube comments and a few comments on a hardcore sim forum as evidence that a mode is hated.

To be fair madden normally gets praise from critics too. I say madden because I've never done any reading about FIFA. The only impressions I've seen are from like I said YouTube. Little bit of reddit. And here. I'd trust those three places over actual critics.

But I never said it was hated. Don't try to twist things around.
