Day 1 purchase. I think something that is vastly underplayed for hype mode is the work put in to the wr and db controls. To have actual animations and route running dimensions will lead to wider variety of outcomes in itself. CFM being limited in additions hurt but in the end gameplay keeps me coming for more. Fantasy draft does eneough to keep my interest for a good 5-7 yr team.

I haven't bought a copy of Madden since the one with Peyton Hillis on the cover (12?), but I'm definitely craving some console football. I don't know if I'll get it day one, but maybe.

At some point I may buy it used but not for awhile. Not impressed with the upgrades, just bought 17 in early July and I've barely touched it. If I need that football fix 17 will be fine.

Not even if it were the only game available.

Not until franchise mode resembles something close to 2003-2005.

It's a pass for me this year. I'll wait until I see more substantial improvements. First one I'll have skipped completely.
Excited for the football season to start, but absolutely no excitement for Madden. EA finally lost me, at least this year.

If it goes on sale during the season for $20 or less I may jump on it, but as of right now it will be another year without a new football game for me. I like a lot of the improvements that I've seen for this year, but I absolutely hate the XP progression system. All I wish for is a natural behind the scenes progression/regression system, but I don't know if they'll ever go back to that. They seem pretty in love with their XP system for whatever reason.

I really hope they're listening to our displeasure with franchise, and see that it affects their sales.

We are 2 weeks from release and have no franchise blog....

Im on the fence this year.

I might skip it based on the lack of improvements to franchise mode.

The Longhsot thing is also not that exiting. Only thing I liked in the trailer was Oregon Ducks and Texas Longhorns being in the game mode.

The stuff I have seen for gameplay is still a toss-up: Could be good, could be bad.

I need to see what the reviews and what people here tell me about their experiences with the modes I like, before I make a decision.
