Buy or no? Why?

No buy for me this year. As an offline franchise mode player, I see no additions given to this area that make it a worthwhile purchase. I have a different perspective in that Madden 17 was my first purchase since Madden 12! After all the updates and patches, I am still loving this game with my sliders and appreciate the improvements made over a 5 year span, especially regarding zone defense.

Just not worth it to me to build a new playbook, re do all of my gameplans, settings and then likely have to adjust sliders constantly as tuners and patches come out. Gonna stick with 17 and updated rosters.

Hopefully, M19 will be more representative of what franchise mode players are looking for. We were promised that the new format started with M13 would ensure that all game modes were equally improved upon. Clearly, this is not the case.

I'll get it day 1 just because the Best Buy deal is just to good to pass up but I'd be lying if I said I was excited. I have a online league I'm part of but I'm dreading the weeks playing the CPU and probably encountering the same problems from last year. If i don't see more importance on ratings this year it will be a short run for me.

I honestly think the lack of improvements is a little worrisome. That being said, it's $40 bucks so whatever. I'll get it

Leaning towards no buy.

I don't have as much free time as I use to and other games deserve my time more.
If I don't buy it it will come down to two reasons:
1. Lack of franchise improvements
2. Lack of advancements made to the game's AI.

Think this will be the second time in the past 5 years where I skipped Madden. Though the first time I eventually purchased Madden used once the playoffs started.

I am torn. I am getting older and have played the game less and less each year since about 2015. I need my football gaming fix so I will likely buy, but I dont know.

I play mostly vs CPU and feel like I have already played this game, without actually even playing it. (know what I mean??)

Nope.. first time since 2003 that I won't own the current Madden

blows my mind that people preordered it before seeing basically anything about it

Just cancelled my order for the goat edition. I don't want to pay extra to be disappointed a few days earlier. I assume I will buy Madden at some point, but another year of poor CPU quarterback play is scaring me off.
