I hate to sound like a nit-pick or a party spoiler, but now that I'm home and listening to the E3 videos, I find myself disappointed.
I just watched a couple completely silent Halftime and Post-game highlights from some Madden 10 videos...
There was no play narration or analysis. Just a couple video highlights (or rather silent replays) followed by the lady reading off a couple stats after the highlights end.
Then I check out the Extra Point Show video and it's even more dull - there's no game Video Higlights at all - all you get is a very brief stat-rundown of whatever game you select, followed by a stat or two read off by the lady and the "player of the week" or "player of the game". But there's no Highlights. It's rather dull. In fact, it's as if the lady talking is just reading stuff right off the screen stuff you could just read yourself.
I hope this is still a work in progress. I mean, I hate to do this, but I fear I have to to make my point more clear. I was hoping that we'd get something more in-depth, like this following video of a halftime show from a 5-year-old game:

Now, I know we can't get Chris Berman, but is there no way to get someone from the NFL Network to actually sit down and record some situational samples for a REAL highlight show? And maybe have the game randomly generate some highlights from the other weekly games just to make it feel like a real show?
I mean the 2K5 show has Berman describing each big play, like turnovers and scoring plays and he mentions the players involved, the result of the play, what they did, etc... AS we are watchign the highlight. The Madden show has ZERO commentary during the highlights? Zero?
I'll reserve final judgement until I see the finished product, but I am VERY concerned that the Madden 10 Highlight Shows are just silent replays and people reading off game stats. I was hoping for some more depth and maybe a little personality.
And if there is any confirmation that the Madden 10 Highlight shows are going to get some commentary, PLEASE link it so I can rest easier!

. So far I am loving the rest of it and just the fact that they put this in..but the little things are still missing like that, the big red circle that seems very arcade like, though I am sure I could adapt to that and the rest of the stuff that has also been brought up. Especially how they fixed the garbage online(nanos, RCs, fb dives and so on)
