Mistake in Coding - Punt AI

Anyone notice that if the CPU is on its own 35..the time when you would expect a long punt it angles the kick out of bounds and goes for only like 25-30 yard punt...yet when it is on my 35-40, it kicks for a touchback relatively straight instead of a corner kick?

I think EA got the logic backward....

I just played a game where the 49ers had a 4th down on my 25 and opted to punt, they booted the ball out of the end zone for a touchback, so they ended up netting 5 yards on the punt

Any way to boost ai punt accuracy?

I'm not sure if it's entirely a distance issue. I've noticed the CPU tends to get off bad angled 20 yard punt whenever I line up in a punt block formation, whether I'm actually trying to block it or playing zone.
