Is there a way to increase Panckae blocks?

I have tried everything but i only seem to be getting one or two at the most a game. Has anyone got any slider tips or any suggestions ?

I tried Playmakers suggestion of Putting blocking to 100 and cpu pass rush and blcok shedding to 0. It still does not work only got one a game and plus it was to easy to play like this..

Get a buddy to play co-op. You or him use the O-line to get the pancakes yourself. Thats really the only way, unless the 2nd update fixes this.

Because that's part of the O Linemen's Job.....to put defenders on their asses.

also don't you think it would enhance the game to see your O linemen pancake a LB comming in to crush ur HB who's about to hit the hole?

You very rarely get to witness a pancake actually happen and when it does happen... it's Sweet!...I've only seen it come from a WR tho...totally laid out a DB from the side who was closing in on my HB..

Yeah man, I remember in the ps2 versions pancakes blocks ran wild my whole offensive line were starters in the pro-bowl?
now there is not enough of them, but I do see at least one of my offensive linemen in the pro-bowl and with the least amount of pancake blocks, go figure!

When I sim with a guy like Jake Long on my team he earns insane amounts of pancakes, when I play he gets around 3 in a season. Doesn't give up too many sacks though, so he makes the Pro Bowl.

As much as I would love to see pancake blocks happen, I would love to see the defense be able to put the Oline on its rear too. I have used Shawn Merriman for a couple of seasons and I have only seen him put someone on their rear 5-6 times a season(each against HBs) Most of the time they block him perfectly fine but about once every 1-3 games I get to pancake the HB and get a sack. If you compare his ratings to what the HBs have for pass block this is a confusing matter.

In all manner speaking HBs shouldnt be able to have a sustained block on a Dline but that would be a thread jack...sorry haha

Overall, I want to see more players getting tossed to the ground. On both sides of the ball.

But seriously the lack of pancakes and reverse pancakes hurts progression and pro bowl chances for o-line as well as gameplay in general. I think the lack of true double team blocking has even more of an impact on gameplay though.

Pancakes have been broke for years. That along with the broken tackle stats are 2 of the reasons why I sim 8 games every season. I get pancakes when I sim but not when I play. You have guys getting 200 pancakes or 200 tackles in 1 season! Fix it EA.

I have noticed over on the slider board that people were talking about Suction blocking?? I f this was somehow reduced would more pancakes happen?

Tackles aren't an official NFL stat, so there really is no way to know for sure who has how many tackles per season, though I understand the complaint.

And, Kevin Mawae, Jake Scott, and Michael Roos made the Pro Bowl in year one of my Titans franchise with low pancake and relatively high allowed sacks.

When I posted about him, I knew someone would post that video lol. I guess you could say I was speaking about a sustained block of 2 or more seconds long. Normally in the NFL you see backs chip a pass rusher to buy a few moments but most of them stand up and take someone full speed without a problem for a sustained block in madden.

Back to OP, has anyone taken a look at how much strength effects the ability of the pass rusher to stay on his feet? Maybe you could get more pancakes if the Dline was weaker? I would test this myself but I RROD 2 weeks ago so yeah...
