Defensive End pass rushing
When I try to use the right analog stick to generate push rushing moves from DE, lets say I got a DE to blow past the tackle with a spin move. In real life, DE like Freeney can do a spin and seamlessly keep running toward the QB. When I do it in madden 11, my DE would do a spin, get past the OL, then stop and lose all his acceleration and then start running again. That's a whole second I lose and usually means giving up a play. Does anyone know how to fix that?Tags: None -

There is no fix that I know of as of right now but it can be due to the slider settings you are using. Play with that and see what happens . -
Re: Defensive End pass rushing
There isnt a human being alive, who can go from a spin move, to a rush angle, with no break in momentum. Freeney uses his spin move, to use the OT's leverage against him, since the OT is geared up to stop his speed rush.
Here's some video footage I recorded, fooling around with Dwight Freeney, practicing the edge rush.

Re: Defensive End pass rushing
there's no fix , not everything can be perfect.
a tip though ...
push up/down with the right analog stick for DE's with high 'power move' ratings
push left/right with the right analog stick for DE's with high 'finesse move' ratings...
prime example for eagles fans ..
brandon graham is a finesse lineman, so use left/right direction to get past the OL
juqua parker is a power lineman , so use up/down direction to get past the OL
hope it kinda helps..Comment

If thats true then why do they have his Powermove rating at 91?there's no fix , not everything can be perfect.

Re: Defensive End pass rushing
Madden 11 has full analog control, which it didn't have last year. Where it is most noticed is when a defender needs to suddenly change direction. I can think of a few reasons this may occur, but the one that is probably most likely is the difference in the stick mechanics. When I try to use the right analog stick to generate push rushing moves from DE, lets say I got a DE to blow past the tackle with a spin move. If you swing the analog stick through the middle of the range it actually tells your player to decelerate, stop, then start again. To maintain momentum, you should swing the stick around the edges of the range because it instructs your player to run while still changing direction.
I think you may be feinting your outside move, then swinging the stick thru the range as immediately after your spin. Try either making your spin and swinging the stick down along the edge of the range and toward the quarterback simultaneously, or start swinging the stick just before the spin so you are moving toward the quarterback as you come out of it.
Hope this helps...

Thanks for all your help guys. I'll try all your suggestions later tonight. What I usually do is the split second before my DE engages the OT, I flick the R stick down or left/right, then let go and use my left stick to run. If my initial move can't get past the lineman I'll do it again real quick. I find that if I carelessly flick the R stick repeatedly, my DE will try to hitstick at nothing.Comment

Re: Defensive End pass rushing
because madden are idiots.
they had grahams powermove rating at 91 but for any eagle fan out there should know that graham is a finesse lineman ... so simply switch his powermove rating with his finesse move rating ..
i should of said that before i posted, sorry for the confusion. i changed his ratings up to reflect how he plays IRL...Comment
