Is it just me, or does NCAA have better accel and locomotion??

ive been watching both games closely and have some observations and just wanna make sure im not going crazy. theres a vid up on ncaa12 in the forums from e3 auburn vs alabama. a few observations:

1) game speed looks slower in ncaa than madden
2) acceleration looks way more gradual and pronounced in ncaa
3) players look more grounded and weighted in ncaa with less sliding/skating

am i seeing things??

on a side note tho....madden looks like it may be the best on next gen yet based off these e3 vids. with the new deeper franchise, this one seems to be worthy of $60, despite the flaws that still remain. i really think madden will be the better game between the two this yr.

I think it's all in your mind, madden has stolen all of NCAA flair, I want madden now instead of college.

It was that way last year too. I've had both games at one point during the year, and NCAA 11 played wayyy better than Madden 11. It felt so much better to play, the running felt more natural. I expect it may be the same in the '12 version of both games, NCAA having the upper hand in how it feels. Madden does look AMAZING this year though.

It's probably because the default speed setting for NCAA is Normal, while Madden's default is Slow.

I watched the NCAA12 video just little while ago. I'm just not liking the way those players are moving and all. I found between both Madden12 and NCAA12,Madden is more smooth in gameplay and movement then NCAA12 is right now. I will try the demo when it comes out in a few weeks. But I'm already set on getting Madden12 this year instead of NCAA12.

Some people were saying the same thing about NCAA 11. I could be totally wrong but I think they feel more comfortable tuning locomotion tighter with NCAA because its' player base is not as rigid as Maddens. There seems to be far more legacy Madden gamers than NCAA gamers and EA seems to believe authentic realism in Madden in regard to player movement, penalties and risk/reward in general, need to be toned down to keep Madden universally fun.

I frankly wish instead of veteran Madden developers, that the mindset that realism and fun, in a simulation game, are two different things would stop working for EA.

Me too! I went and paid off Madden 12 in full last night. So I will have madden come midnight release or day 1 at the latest!
