You know what's even dumber? Playing 4 seasons in NCAA to import a player into *this* season in Madden. Imported NCAA players should start in 2015.Comment

When i was importing my player, i was wondering about the same thing.Comment

Re: I find it unbelievably dumb that you can't get drafted in superstar mode
Then people would be crying about how either the teams are identical after 4 years, or that the teams have lost so and so players over the year and isn't fair. Plus, knowing EA's logic, you'd get drafted by the Packers who have Rodgers, Brees, Manning on their roster after 4 years and you'd be 50 ovr and starting QB.
You could always make a roster from 4 years ago for NCAA and play through as if you were in the 2010 class. Heck, my QB played with generated names so it didn't matter at all.Comment

I get that technically this is unrealistic. But it's just a game - the point is to create a guy in one game and bridge it over to the pro version. 99.99% of the people would complain about this, guaranteed!
What's REALLY dumb is creating yourself and thinking you'd have even a remote chance of starting at a big time NCAA school, let alone getting drafted by an NFL team!Comment

Re: I find it unbelievably dumb that you can't get drafted in superstar mode
actually the dumbest thing has to be the fact that no matter what rating you start off as, you're #1 on the depth chart which is the only reason i can't play this. if i import a CB from NCAA and he turns out to be a 78 and i get drafted by the Eagles, there is no way in hell, I'm starting over Asomugha, RC and Samuel.Comment

The point is just to get your guy in the game... pretty sure I would NOT want to just sit and watch the CPU play as my guy sat on the bench. What's the fun in that?actually the dumbest thing has to be the fact that no matter what rating you start off as, you're #1 on the depth chart which is the only reason i can't play this. if i import a CB from NCAA and he turns out to be a 78 and i get drafted by the Eagles, there is no way in hell, I'm starting over Asomugha, RC and Samuel.
But we're each allowed to play the games for different reasons, and there's nothing wrong with any approach.Comment

No the point is not to just get your guy in the game its to earn a spot on the team. I mean if you a Qb lest say over all a 60 and you were drafted by the pats there is no way your starting over Brady in real life but if ea has anything to say about it you do. I would like to earn the starting spot kinda like in ncaa where you have to climb the depth chart and not just get it handed to you.The point is just to get your guy in the game... pretty sure I would NOT want to just sit and watch the CPU play as my guy sat on the bench. To counter, for argument's sake, you could hypothetically get drafted by the Packers and NEVER play a game. No way the Pack is letting Rodgers go, no matter who's behind him! Then, your game would basically be over.No the point is not to just get your guy in the game its to earn a spot on the team. Yes but you would either enter FA or be traded. I mean if you worked up good in practice and were a over all better than Rodgers you could start for other teams and even if your over all was not better than rodgers you could still start for another team there are plenty of teams in need of QB's. you have the option of leaving for FA or try and force a trade.Last edited by truffleshuffle; 09-13-2011, 05:47 PM.Comment

Re: I find it unbelievably dumb that you can't get drafted in superstar mode
i know, at least in the last one, that depending on you position you can only get drafted to certain teams. for example last year i made a ilb that i tried to get drafted on the chargers. the only teams that would pick me up were the colts and titans. there was like 2 others but i cant remember which ones. but i do remember that they were only 4-3 teams, and if you started a olb only 3-4 teams would pick you upComment
