OP, I noticed you can swat the ball with both R1 and L1, makes you swat with different hands actually!

Not 100% on this, but I think strafe (L2/LT) also works when you manually control your receiver...

I have a post on this thread on the previous page. Here's a link to a video that shows proof. However, the creator of the video (not me) was incorrect on the calculation.

Apparently, the sum of the values of QB Accuracy, Pass Blocking, and WR Catching must equal at least 151.

Test this out, it seems that the WR strafe button is disabled unless you make the adjustments, no matter the values.
Ex. QB (45) + PB (55) + WR (51) = 151
